I recently picked up Stained by Imperanon. Think a brighter-sounding, heavier on the keyboards Children of Bodom. Different enough to not be called a clone, and certainly a better purchase than Are You Dead Yet? by a long shot.

Just to forestall any comments, yes, if you think Children of Bodom are gay, you'll think these guys are gay as well.

You won't be disappointed. A couple songs use clean vocals, but it works fairly well.

I haven't listened to the new CoB album so i can't comment on that.From your description of this band Imperanon i may definitely like them, so i'll check em out.

Very well said. I like Imperanon. The comparisons to CoB are definitely warranted, but, in my opinion, there are not many better bands to pattern your sound after.
