Alright, basically, same deal as last time guys and gals. Just post the lyrics, and wait the 24 initial posting hours, then add 48 hours for voting. I'm not entirely sure as of this post if the last match actually is done, I'll check for safety, but as far as I know, Dead Machine (Aaron) advances.

ONE THING before this deal sets sail... ONE SET OF LYRICS PER COMPETITOR!!! Unless BOTH solemly swear by the fact that they want a 2 set lyric battle, NEITHER may post 2 sets, or anything of the sort. Common guys, no go unless you both agree so. Clean match, and lets see some clean voting. 666 Hail Satan...

JK

Alright, bring the pain. Good luck.

I will agree with one set of lyrics, not 2 songs...
Val, you can submit when ready, I'll post them directly thereafter.

To bad, Val, because they are both amazing, but you gotta erase one set.

Only the first one counts my freind, the second is just to share and recieve critique, which can be a useful tool.

Ok, that makes sense. I have the strange feeling that I'm going to lose on this one though :(
Anyways, may the best poem win!

Quote:
To a friend that dived the ages
In darker times, when Fortuna raged
Some claim she is with the bravest
Untrue, for inner wars were waged

In cancer’s cast shadows, unfair was the fight
As Death was to aid it, that sinister knight
Though it was will at last that took you from me
Will, that frightfully guided its necessity

Too many tears were shed thereafter
But only these were truly meant
Filled with void and wholly unwhole
Starlit liquor shone on faces

This weeping was to fate addressed
But no tears could unthaw her heart
Stonecold and unmoved by any
Down on us, she casts her morbid art

No pillars of belief I lean upon
Though something tells me you can hear me
Some of reason may have leaked from life
Where no chance is seen to serve the ruins

And it’s all great according to myth
But it’s all myth according to great
For my blindness we will see
In the scars left by our laughter

True heroes never die, is taught
But Time she lurks for every name
Sadly everything will be forgotten
And merely a spill to fate's acclaim

When all of this is gone and buried
And mankind dies in time’s revenge
And tongues forgotten by the eras
Just maybe, we will meet again

Thanks Val, yours moreover!! I like both themes, the second (about the dead prostitude) a tad more since it's less cliché. Both VERY well written! Now let the voting begin!!!

Meh, Valefor for me, he's got a better flow and less clichés. Sorry Gast!

Uh... shit, I'm torn. I like both of em a lot, and Valefor would be a shoo-in had the second one been the one that counted... but I like the meaning behind Gast's, and the rhythm that it has...

Um... okay... go with what pops up in my head first...

Gast it is.

Well well... i think Valefor and Misha should be ashamed of them self :? funny to see how the best poem was written by a man not in the competition...imo Dead Machine outmatched you both!

In his poem we see a strungle (*1), and that's excatly what life is all about ... life is about making decisions, and sometimes you make mistakes... The poems is asking alot of question it self: Does Valefor's shoes fit me and why is Misha refering to himself as Gast1 meaning Guest1 in english (*2). The author (*3) tries to answer them himself, then it's up to the reader to chose weither or not he believe the answer is correct (*4). Real art is made to make you wonder and reflect over life, and this poem live up to that demand.
What really makes this poems stand out from the rest is that the author purposely structured the poem in a way so it didn't look like normal (mainstream) poem. I see a bright future ahead for young master Aaron.

Quote:
Guest :

1 : One who is a recipient of hospitality at the home or table of another.
2: One to whom entertainment or hospitality has been extended by another in the role of host or hostess, as at a party.
3: One who pays for meals or accommodations at a restaurant, hotel, or other establishment; a patron.
4: A distinguished visitor to whom the hospitality of an institution, city, or government is extended.
5: A visiting performer, speaker, or contestant, as on a radio or television program.
6: Zoology. A commensal organism, especially an insect that lives in the nest or burrow of another species.

one can only wonder about which group Misha belongs too  Based on the fact that he's called Gast1, i assume he thinks of himself who's the most important, Me FIRST ( the "1"). A guest is someone who doesn't contribute with anything, he is utilizing his host, in this case MR, to reach his own goals....

Well... um...

I'm mostly speechless, chiefly with laughter. Astaroth, when did you get this funny? This and that 'rusty terminator' post are both absolute GOLD.
