Just for fun, a proposed bout between two lyric/poets who wanted to compete, but missed the deadline. Just post, and give each other hell. We'll make the deadline for an official winner...

uhhhh... 4 days from this post? But, shit, either way, vote through the poll I've set up, because of course this is just a simple exibition. Alright?

Don't be shy, don't be bashful, post you MUTHAS!!!

Fine then. Here's my entry; its shoddiness might urge you to participate after all ;)

Quote:
The Narcist

When the light first erupted
The day had already passed by
When the first dew fell
The rain it stopped

Then I was there, from the corner of my sight
Like the contents of a sealed book
Enigmatically projected
Steerless without a sail
A cavity in the tooth of time
On a rhythmic sea, inconceivably wide

And in the first second, I knew
I would ever be full
So would I be empty
Yet never full of emptiness

When the first flower blossomed
The snow was but a second away
When the moon appeared at last
The clouds would not part

I could not see further than myself
as my Self chose not to uncover my eyes
All that remained of my vanity
Turned into and on itself
Forming my anti-identity
To erase my name by heart.

Yet after counting a million days, I knew not
I would forever be full of myself
And emptied as a result
But never devoid of myself.

When the first heartbeat could be heard
It was eclipsed by a great thunder
When the first kiss was given
The knowledge of love strayed

When I uncovered the veil of my reflection
It brought only the loneliness of beauty
And as it withered and faded in time
It brought the beauty of loneliness.

ROTTEN APPLES

it's a non-ego morning
all naked in the weak light glowing
Statues of indesion
Filing for the final deception.
Soap perfume fills the air
No one's moving, nobody stares
lost in self contemplation
for the great assimilation
process.

chorus :
something pops up in your mind,
the rotten apples of your kind
never get a second chance
to be allowed into the dance...
...again !

petrified, undignified
the silence and its scary side,
Isolation and detention
A certainty, no remission.
and the fear inside
the loss of pride
the feeling of stagnation
when nothing's left but depression
and death !

(chorus)

how to escape
this inner cell, this path to hell
the smell of sweat,
the blood, the filfth is everywhere !

(chorus)

are you happy now ?

and since it's a "for fun exhibition" I allow myself the rigt to vote for SoK

Whoops, sorry ;) I thought only posts were needed, and that OFC would count 'em.

Still, be grateful, you're in the lead now ;)

Aaron is curently in the hospital because he had problems with his right ball or something. He'll be out in some five or six days which will be when we pick up the match.
