“So the Sounds of The Underground tour was great fun and a heck of a way to spend the summer. Gene Hoglan (drums) filled in for Opeth on the SOTU tour while Jon from Devildriver filled in for Byron Stroud, who was out with Fear Factory...Polygamy! Good music, lots of friends and some great crowds. Also, during the SOTU, Gwar and I had a real meeting of the minds and decided to work together. I had a revelation while watching them and hopefully it's going to be the best record ever made, so watch out!”

“We are looking to do a U.S. tour starting late October and then head to Europe with Meshuggah. Japan and Australia will follow shortly after, hopefully along with a new video for ‘Zen.’ I'm currently recording the new Devin Townsend Band record, which is great and soothing. Hopefully Devin can make GWAR good! GWAR have gotten by on their gimmick for too long! I'd say 75% of their music is complete shit. They have some great songs, but for the most part they suck.

I completely agree. If you don't see that GWAR works their cuddlefish off, you're a fool.

First off, everything Devin Townsend has done has been amazing! But I can understand where some music fans just won't like it. As for GWAR, I appreciate their act, truly, but I don't see where their music is anything special! I mean if GWAR weren't a metal band, they'd have been done ages ago (see Green Jello). Metal fans love the shock value of GWAR, but I don't know too many people who view them as amazing for their music!

I've seen GWAR live a million times, and I've loved it. But rarely do I find myself pulling out a GWAR CD to give it a spin!

I guess you guys haven't heard War Party. It's a damn fine thrash metal album. And yes, they are extremely hard workers, everyone who does anything for GWAR is part of the slave pit, it's all just one big happy family.
