I actually like As I Lay Dying, I only have Frail Words Collapse, and it's very good. Very melodic leads, and they sometimes border on hXc. They also have a pretty good drummer; he's very fast. Anyone who likes that kind of stuff and can put up with a little bit of "whining" should give it a shot.

Actually, the 'You' is in reference to God. As I Lay Dying are a Christian metalcore band.

Every time they make reference to 'you,' they're talking about God.

That's one of the funniest things I've ever heard. I can never take Christian prostrating seriously, either.

i just saw As I Lay Dying live a couple of weeks ago, good show, i was right up front, so i didnt really hear the vocals, just the double bass pedals kicking the shit out of my ear drums. yeah i just thought id let everyone know there is a new teen girl squad http://www.homestarrunner.com/tgs9.html

Eh, Faulkner wasn't THAT fucking great.

As for the band, they are mediocre in every sense, except the clean vocals which are cringe-worthy.

Absolutely correct, they are typical metalcore. If you like metalcore, you probably like this band. If you think metalcore sucks, as I do, stay the fuck away because you'll surely hate it.

To me, they're just another mediocre In Flames-core band. Nothing new, fresh, or original. They play the same songs just as well as everyone else. Not specifically bad, but not good either.
