Basically, this is simply a thread for Valefor, Gast, etc, the advancing four to decide what the two semi final matches will be. All must say aye, and of course fans on the outside may make suggestions, and try to influence this decision making process. But, no flaming. Playful trashtalk? Maybe. Within reason. Okay, the great debate is on!

And just a general point. I don't think this thread should be in the Death/Black forum, I think it should be in Helheim, because by keeping it here we are alienating all the poor little power metallers who have lots of lyrics about slaying dragons and stalking maidens for us to gasp at. None of the origional contestants were PMers, and they certainly would've made up the numbers. Something to consider.

So this is where those from which floweth the elixir of the gods are seperated from the mere mortals destined to wallow in thralldom...
I challenge Gast, being as we are both disciples of the dark side, thus well suited for battle.
I propose a double submission, so as to avoid stagnation.

I suggest Carnifex/Gast, Valefor/Dead Machine. I just see some really hard decisions being made over these matches. People will be torn. But, this is simply fan insight...

Because whomever took it upon themselves to do so would just lie and say they got these results without doing anything. Probably fix it in favor of themselves, or maybe, if they weren't in the contest, just set it up the way they wanted to see it played out.

Damn, this is what happens when I have no internet access over the weekends. I miss out on all manner of excitement.

I really have no personal preference when it comes to the matchups. I am quite confident in my own skills. Or, as Jesus' greatest critic, Judas, once said, "And the hosts of Heaven shall tremble, and the damned of Hell shall unleash the fury, and it shall be brought."

Just put me upto someone, doesn't matter who... How about a longer voting time, and a limited amount of lines? I noticed that the ones that post a lot of stuff usually have the advantage, for they can post in more styles and therefore please more people...

I think a good idea would be to have themes for each "lyrics' fight" that way our votes could be more accurate in judging the writing skills of each contender....

How can constraint push art to a higher level? Constraint (not to be confused with restraint) goes against everything "art" stands for.
Constraint, rules and pre-ordained themes are for art class and whores in it for the money... that is why television, movies and run-of-the-mill music blows.
