Wow. I never noticed that! How did that happen?? I'm a huge Iced Earth fan! Hmmm...must be because I usually don't listen to Iced Earth and Stormrider. I don't really dig on the old vocalists, the Days Of Purgatory songs are better. In my defense, the two songs are different! =)

There were definitely some changes. That weird overlapping guitar effect was removed from the intro and that slow middle section was done for barlow's song.

Yeah, I kind of actually like original intro better.

Agreed. Greely was an awesome vocalist, and that album is quite incredible.

Look, I don't mind Stormride at all, but I just like Barlow as a vocalist much more than the first two guys. Have you ever heard any Purgatory songs?? Jon wrote some killer tunes back in the day. I only have three of them, I'm going to post them here soon.

I agree that Barlow is better than Greely, but Greely is still quite awesome. I have Days of Purgatory (the two disc one) and I will agree that some Stormrider songs sound better with Barlow, while some sound better with Greely. However, Adams, the vocalist on the self titled debut, was terrible, and all Barlow remakes of those songs are much better.

i prefer the original night of the stormrider, but maybe its just because i heard it that way first aan for awhile then heard the new one and was like wtf nooo!i find that a lot of the interludes and intros sound off and cheesy also the mixing is different like the guitars being louder on the angels holocaust intro , not a fan of that, its still good though but why did they change it in the first place there was nothing wrong with it

Usually the people who first started listening to Iced Earth when either one of the first two CDs came out have a tendency to really like those singers. I first heard the band when I downloaded "I Died For You" in 1996 one late night at work! I fucking loved that song!!

Now I'm a fanboy! Hehehe, but I do like Barlow better.

I started listening to IE with Barlow. I've gone back since and have let the Stormrider vocalist grow on me, but the first guy - no way :P

I'm surprised I was able to let Tim in so easily, but I'm still sceptical, so we'll see on the next one.
