After a few severe beatings to the senses it is time for a return to serenity. A finely composed recording indeed.

Nature's identity with itself is its divine origin. It is only Man who doubts his own identity and is alienated from himself. Nature never experiences such things. Harmonious in harmony.

A most consummate melodic death metal experience. Without rival, none necessary, with this level complete masterfulness.

It has been an extended period of time that no Summoning has been played. There is a time for favourites and new releases, but there is also a time for bands that have not had any playing time at all. A generous time for all.

As sharp-edged as the dagger of the nomad, as distinct as the blade of samurai, as blazing as the hammer on the anvil. This metal in its most foundational form. What a declaration.

Once or twice per year listen. A good time, nevertheless.
