Stellar psychedelic and premium quality death metal. Absolutely glorifying and revolutionary.

Obligatory listen. I don't think Priest ever again reached the magisterial and sweepingly magnificence of this release, I personally believe. I find this album to be earth-shattering and exceedingly heavy, and so I only listen to it once in a while because of how extreme it is. I find it more extreme than most extreme metal bands. Truly.

It has been a while since I have given Candlemass a proper listen. Early 'Mass is so endearingly memorable, and brilliantly reductive to simple riffage, but never compromising the integrity, the heaviness, and the energy of these doom metal crafters.

Extraordinary and profoundly dramatic. Personally, I find A Forest of Stars most uncanny, sophisticated in attitude and wide-ranging in musical ambition. I understand that I do not have many sympathizers.

That is a Leviathan album, right? That art is so powerful.

Edit: I must say, Husker, that even when I was not listening to much metal your playlist inspired a lot of my extreme music divergences.
