yes, released today. I dig it, a more atmospheric side of Taake I would say.

U-hum! Akin to early Taake, I presume? I love the album cover. Looks frosty and as you say very atmospheric.

I must admit that I have never listened to Death Angel ever truly or properly, and perhaps only a selected and limited few times many years ago which does not really count. I saw this album for a very affordable price so I picked it up. I am expecting great things from this album and I am sure it will deliver. Onto the album!

I cannot be sure that I can take a great liking to their latest offering or some of their other questionable outputs, but I can certainly take a great liking to this album, and have spent many hours listening to Imaginary Sonicscape in good time.

Sigh's artistic creativity has taken many twists and turns wherein I don't think anyone has been capable of following Mr. Kawashima to the outer boundaries of his creative energies. I would sincerely and innocently doubt he truly had knowledge of what it was he was doing and towards what aim he was being genuinely creative.

But that is not any of my business, since I do not listen to much of Sigh's back-catalogue though I do like some of his early albums quite a bit. Nevertheless, this album has many quirks and eccentricities which are admirable for their deranged qualities. Whatever that is worth and unfortunately the objective value of this class of creativity is never entirely clear.

The choice of this new artwork is intentional since I am playing the remastered edition. I am not entirely sure that all these remasters are very sensible as I like the original recordings more. Some remasters sound great but remastering is in need of good sense that not many producers possess. Aside from that, I think this recording by Mayhem is very intriguing in terms of subject matter and also music-wise. Many years pass since its release and I believe it has sustained my attention after all these years with careful consideration given to the frequency of it being played.

As much as BM likes to take claim for being sinister and heavy, I still firmly believe that the first two Mercyful Fate albums are genuinely more sinister and tastefully melodic without any real presence of blast beasts and overbearing shrieks. This album is always in the playing loop and I never grow tired of it.

^That album is such an austerely brilliant and powerful release. The title of the album is so apt. Very rare.

thoroughly enjoying this one. Better than the new Taake, IMO. :dio:

Interesting, Husker, very interesting. I would have to definitely hear the new Marduk. Thank you for the commentary. Just judging by cover it certainly peaks my interest me most greatly and also the title of the album. Shall pursue that. Edit: Too bad the new Marduk is not available through Amazon until the end of the month. I don't want to ruin a fresh release by hearing it before hand. I can wait.

To set the night for the last hour of my waking hours. It has been a good day of music listening in solitary imperialism. Perhaps one of the best lives one could live is the noble pleasure of music listening. But who am I to say, in the vastness of life? Staying loyal to the theme of remembering death, the night here is sinking ever-deeper into its own ground. Whereto, I don't know...

Farewell for now.

It is just about noon here. Powerslave is perhaps my favourite Maiden album. This album is not only a musical masterpiece, but I believe it has odour, taste, breath, sight, and a variety other senses such that it has true life in it. I don't think metal fans fully realize just how many guitar lines are at play throughout a given song, and just how harmonious they are. It is sunny and bright here, and this album is apropos to the climate and to the atmosphere, September is the most beautiful of all months, in my opinion.
