Ripe time for this sweetly short and splendidly delightful piece of musique. Glorious and entrancing.

Almost coming to its 14 year anniversary this January and I personally think in many ways it still most significantly retains its mystique and minimalism, its subtly brazen and inner violent revolutionary nature. Futuristic and independently opaque without pretentions. Authentic.

Magnificently produced and heavy as medieval armour. Attila's maleficent vocal delivery, Axel's pounding supremacy, Teloch's empowerment.

Primeval energy in the sphere of the Northern lights. I have taken immense pleasure from this recording for many years now, and it is time to play it again never for nostalgic reasons, but for the absolute quality of this exemplary melodic BM release. May the spirit of Arcturus' music remain, forevermore.

The sheer heaviness of this album, the pure weight of its intense conviction for metallic and earthly tonalities makes this album endlessly replayable and a source of sustainable and long-term pleasure. The mode and the atmosphere of this album was never to be recaptured by Enslaved. I would have loved this album to be a lot lengthier. A musical voyage to behold.

The gracefulness of this album and the quantity of harmonies and the endless dancing of melodies is uncanny for just one album. So abundant, so profuse with the highest kind of vision for distant horizons of musical idealism. One wonders what kind of musings Sakis was experiencing at the time. The enthralling atmosphere and the rapture. Truly irreplaceable.

High-mindedness and a high degree of outstanding musicianship. I remember when I first heard The Olden Domain I was utterly perplexed by how brilliant it was. How can a band be so excellent and fine? True North is quite different, but no less brilliant. Very few bands have been able to achieve the heightened greatness of Borknagar. To the North we go! They certainly travel to very high altitudes and capable of staying there for long.

It is half an hour to midnight here. The moon is up but blurred by the haze in the sky, the weather mild and cool. I cannot think of anything else than to express the divine nature of this album. A good night and a restful sleep to all whom cared to read.

Diapsiquir - Lubie Satanique Dépravée

Experimental industrial/black metal from France, feat ex-Arkhon Infaustus guitarist Toxik. Tinny programmed drums but what do you expect, it's industrial black from 2003 heh.

Nice and intense German black/thrash, more of the latter than the former. From this year but sounds more likely three if not four decades older. One for the Demolition Hammer fans.
