Okay, Valefor and I have the floor today, as in we both have until midnight, give or take an hour with consideration to timezones, to post our lyrics. He and I have a special agreement to write two sets of lyrics in order to show what this tourney permits (Basically anything). But, when Saturday comes around, that's when the voting can begin. Please, comment all you like, BUT WAIT UNTIL AFTER VALEFOR AND I POST OUR LYRICS!! PLEASE. That means no posting in THIS thread until me and Valefor post our lyrics. Alright.


Sidenote: Valefor, expect to see my stuff around 9pm my time, CT US, which is 7 hours from now. Post whenever, or pop online then, and post after me if you like. I don't care how you do it.

Sidenotept2: Daniel, if this topic gets out of hand, you can move it, but remember this is a lyricist tourney for Death, Black, and Thrash enthusiasts. So try not to give us Das BOOT while it still applies. ; P

Uhhh... heh, well I had a whole scenario set for a song called, "Hello, Dominos? Can I get a CUNTGRINDER SUPREME?!?!? LOL", but my bro called, and he's in fucking hell right now, obviously drunk like me, and I have to be with him right now. I apologize to valefor for this, and please feel free to vote against me for not doing 2 sets like I said I would, but this may be life and death. Once again, sry. See you on the other side (But, hopefully not!!!!) Shit. Gtta go. bye.

Wow... perhaps this is the most cliched thing possible to say in such circumstances, but it also extremely appropriate: These are both excellent and it's very hard for me to decide. I think if V had entered the zombie one as an official competitor I'd go for him straight away because- lowbrow zombie movie worshipper that I am :oops: - it's one of the most enjoyable poems I've ever read. Right down to the authentic use of Fulci-esque "Zombi" spelling.

Plus, there are some awesome lines in his stuff: especially "Crimson sunset drowns the world in shadows,
as twilight bleeds from the sky"

However, I think my vote goes to OFC, because his poem leads me to believe it's about something very profound that I cannot quite put my finger on, and wish to know more. So, after much deliberation,

I vote OFC.

A tough decision! I liked them both a fucking lot (and my crappy forest hymns are worthless now). I will vote Val, because his lyrics are a little bit more accesible for me, and I like the dark tone of especially the second ones.

By the way OFC, I liked the first 4 lines of your poem the best out of what's posted here now. The first 4 lines are AWESOME!!

Both are great but i'm gonna vote for Valefor. But nice job both of you guys.

i vote for OFC's lyrics. don't get me wrong both are awesome but i like this guy's better - maybe because they sound insightful and a bit lost horizonish to me - good luck to both of you.

I have to go for Valefor, no offense to OFC, his were good too. Just not AS good, y'know what I mean?

I may be mistaken, but I am pretty sure the voting for this round is over...
I thought Saturday at midnight was the deadline; again, perhaps I am mistaken.
On the other hand, if people want to copntinue voting, I see no reson why they shouldn't unless OFC has any objections... it's his brainchild after all.
Edit: I suppose the different time zones make the deadline a little tricky...
