Great blackened death that doesn't just rip Behemoth off, for once these days! More like a black metal Hail of Bullets? Pretty good working-on-a-Saturday soundtrack, anyway.

An under-appreciated gem from the post-Waters era of Floyd. Gilmour's guitar work is just superb on this record.

The least Opeth album played. It appears that these days the hardest albums to get into are the ones that age the most well. In this particular album it's not the riffs, solos, or the leads that specially stand out although they do have their obvious highlights. More than anything else, it is Martin Lopez's stellar drum-work that shines throughout the album. He is greatly missed.

Drudkh - Eastern Frontier in Flames

Picked this compilation up at a second hand store today. First couple of songs are pretty terrible but it picks up nicely with the Slavonic Chronicles EP and remains consistently good for the remainder. Not a must own release, but well worth the $5.00 I spent on it.
