Uhh... This is the biggest piece of CRAP I have ever seen. Does the entire album sound like this?! "Maniac Dance?!!!!!!" What the fuck?!!!

If they play that crap live I'm gonna be very disappointed.

AHHHHH!!!! I better not have wasted my money.

I like the new album. Its different, but its good. There are a few "what were they thinking" moments along the way, though.

Yes I do though I see why others wouldn't. There are some more 'typical' Strato songs on the album, but on the whole the full thing goes like more riffs/less keyboards/less high vocals/no double bass. Almost hard rock, in fact.

Stratovarius have been crying out for an increased guitar presence recently. If they'd made an "Elements, Pt III" it would have blown.

OK sure an increased guitar presence, I can agree with that. But that isn't Timo singing on "Maniac Dance." And to slow the music down is ludacris. Stratovarius was one of the bands that got me into this genre of music. Speed was what they were best at. Also Jens Johansson is one of my favorite keyboardists. So to see his ability go unrecognized... SUCKS!

So far I'm liking this new album. I just wish there were more keyboards. Like metalNESS I greatly enjoy Johansson's playing.

You just said something interesting my friend,i dont like Stratovarius, but the fact that they got into metal to alot of people is worth of recognition.

Stratovarius was one of the first power metal bands for me too.To this day i still play Visions, Destiny,Infinite and Intermission very often. They were fast, catchy with memorable keyboards tunes just like the new Secret Sphere.
My feelings to this new album are still mixed. It is different, it's more hard-rock like Radagast said but not like they've done it on Twilight Time or Dreamspace, it's modern and the few keyboard fills you can hear from Jens are not good.
And i don't like the way Timo is singing. Not that i've ever liked him much, but here he is just untolerable.

Heh, you sound like you've been in information blackout for like... months! :D Everything you just complained about the album has been known for a looong time

I think Timo's vocals on Maniac Dance sound very Mustaine-like

i think Maniac Dance is one of Stratovarius' best ever songs. When i first heard it, i wasnt even sure it was Stratovarius, it didnt even sound like Kotipelto. Despite that, the song was friggin awesome. With the whole album, thats the only song which is really un-Strato like. The rest is pretty much your typical Strato, but with less keyboards, which i think is a good thing, as the keyboards had gone a bit over the top with their last few albums.
Strato was also one of the first bands which introduced me to the POWER METAL genre. I had been a fan of metal for a long time, but had never heard anything quite like that before....

Hey, that video is pretty cool. I havent seen many Strato videos, but that one seemed good. Looking at Tolki, didnt even move around during his solo. He looked so profesional and serious, lol. Kotipelto does sound similar to Mustane in that song, and does also look a little like him in the video.

I just saw the video. And how else would I know how the album sounds? I guess if I maybe downloaded it, but that is wrong. At least you say it's wrong, in previous threads anyway.

Maniac Dance didn't impress me at all. "Falling Into Fantasy" is their best song, they can't top that! Hehehe. I'll buy this album though, fan=sucker! =)

Hehe, nice one  But I didn't mean by downloading, I meant that there was several reports of how the album will sound like long before this, and there was even at least one track by track analysis of the new album, like 2 months ago... oh, well :)
