Completely agreed. This is complete mallcore. At least on Toxicity and Steal This Album they had some semi interesting songs. Here everything is done terribly.

How can you compare them to Korn, Limp Bizkit, Linking Park or other bullshity bands ? :shock: to me, they're more like chaotic yet melodic & fun metal with something of a hardcore attitude... something I can tell to be enjoyable while all real Nu-Metal acts makes me want to puke :?

so whatever you say is fine by me but SOAD are not Nu and they're good (will all the reservation I made on Mesmerize in my previous post)... agree or disagree on their quality as much as you liked but don't call them NU anymore for it's utter nonsense :roll:

However good you think this album is, how it can be classified as 'Modern Metal' is beyond me. Modern metal = Strapping Young Lad, Biomechanical etc, not SOAD, who, let's face it are a slightly metallised version of Dead Kennedys anyway.

This is rock, not metal. Slightly crazy rock, yes, but definately not metal. SO WHAT IS IT DOING ON METAL REVIEWS?????

this is a wierd album, first off the guitar player's voice sucks sooooooooooooooooo much.... one of the things maybe the only thing good of SOAD is the lead singers voice . . . when i first heard the album the intros sound cool but then u get the guitar player's voice and goddamn....SKIP....next song... guitar player sings ....SKIP and so on...in other words this album deserves a 60something . . it could be a 85 if they take the guitarist out of singing and it could be a 90 if it was longer and not short as punk albums

Now, about SOAD... whats to like? the chugging guitar "riffs", the annoying emo vocals, the lame skinsmanship, the fucking insipid, BORINGLY annoying song structures?
They are actually worse than Nu-M*tal, seriously.
Words alone cannot describe the suckage that is SOAD... I would rather have my nuts slammed in a car door than listen to this shit.
I mean they should be the poster boys for MTV's idea of what Metal is.

Um, that part of BYOB right after whichever vocalist sings 'Everybody's going to the party, have a real good time' when Daron lays down that strange riff... it's been stuck in my head for as long as BYOB has been a single. I believe it's about to drive me completely insane.

I now hate them for writing that because it's so fucking annoying, even though it sounded cool at first.
