If you're a part of the MR Facebook group, ignore that last message. Was meant to be private to Zad.

I am just not that interested in metal or music generally at the moment. Like Azrael noted, it might be the weather.

There's nothing like thrash metal and beers in the summer time. Squares.

Fair point. I should try that.

Totally agree.

Even Death Metal is good during summer especially early 90s stuff.

i meant the summer because that's when it's generally warmer. of course, being in a nice air conditioned room or a suffocatingly hot subway car is completely different.

when i listen to metal, especially really heavy stuff, on the subway these days it feels even more physically uncomfortable for some reason.

if metal is better in winter, and i bet most of us would agree that it is, the opposite could also be true.

Nobody saw the adult sex toy add thing posted on the Facebook group? I thought it was pretty funny.

Yeah I missed it too, whatever it was. But we all know I'm the most metallest of all...

My interest is waxing and waning too atm. It has in the past though and I usually pull through... just need to go on a Zappa spree or something as a distraction.

Sunsets and poutine could take up about 2 hours of a day. You sexing the other 22? God damn.

Disgustingly delicious. They say the French make the best ones, but each time I've been to Montreal and had one, they've sucked.

La Banquise in Montreal makes real good poutine. There's a place here that makes it almost as well, had it with jalapeno peppers, green peppers, mushrooms, and onions added on Monday. mmm

What's so great about poutine?. I mean, judging from the pictures on google, it's just fries with gravy and a couple nasty-looking bits of cheese. Don't the fries get all soggy when you cover them with gravy?

You euros are missing out on some artery clogging goodness. If your fries go soggy from gravy, you need to buy your potatoes elsewhere.

looks like an 'eat and then hate yourself' meal. i'd try it. many greasy/disgusting looking foods are much better than they sound, and every country has a few guilty pleasures.

Minus the gravy, it has always sounded amazing.

Umm I haven't been on here for quite a bit, basically because of the new girlfriend. We were in Ohio for a while, had some drama, moved back to Virginia, and are now moved into my new apartment with some roommates. Cozy living minus the ever-looming worry of bugs. Eating healthy, working to get back to into the cycle of research and exercise. Super happy, and even got a book chapter proposal accepted, ie, I'm getting published in a book about non-mainstream music next year by writing about USBM.

seems my life is far less interesting then everybody else around here, my weekend basically consisted of going out to dinner enjoying some awesome chinese food and better still trying a new and surprisingly good Japanese beer I can't pronounce or spell the name of, then going to the casino blowing through nearly $200 before going on a winning spree that saw me close the night only losing $20 after deciding my luck was probably going to run out

Then yesterday went to the footy (AFL) where my team pulled a miracle out of their big bag of tricks to win the game.

Consequently today I'm feeling pretty damn good
