So Ken, lets try to get at what you meant then: you called Varg "stupid and talentless". 'Stupid' is certainly debatable based on some of the guy's statements, but when you call him 'talentless', you are making a value judgement on the guy's music beyond 'I don't like it,' right?

I never said people shouldn't say anything beyond "I don't like it." Doing so would have been fucking retarded as EVERYONE does that.

So it is annoying when people go beyond "I don't like it" constantly, but it is ok to make a value judgement once in a while? Ok, I can buy that.

My problem with Steve, for example, was he would go beyond merely saying "I don't like it" all the time, often peppered with insults for the listener, the listener's mother, the listener's unborn children, etc. There is a sliding scale here.

I'm referring to the people who have to deconstruct every minute detail of something just to show how inferior it is. Often with snide comments directed at those who do like, all in an effort to show that he or she and their taste if superior to yours.

You'll see weekend-warrior musicians do this a lot.

As for Varg, yes, I don't like his music at all. But my post above is about the fact that he's piece of shit racist, arsonist, murderer.
