You should hear the pandemonium in Toronto because they are 0-2. I love it.
People really do flip out over nothing concerning baseball, a universal trait. Always amusing.

I followed the Phillies more when I first moved to the area, because they sucked. Then they got super popular, and while I still like them, the contrarian in me finds it funny when the fans start panicking like now. I don't think they will make the playoffs this year, Halladay is cooked, and the team always scores 1 run when Lee is pitching.
But no, my team has always been the Red Sox as I was born about 15 miles from Boston, and my whole family was fanatical about them. So I always have a particular amusement for the spoiled whining of Yankee fans. Agreed though, they aren't dropping out of it before their guys start to come back. And Boston still has huge unresolved issues from their team last year, so I'm being realistic.
Cincy is an interesting team. Lots to like with Votto and the pitching but yeah, I'm not a fan of their lineup besides him. They have a bunch of guys that waste at bats and don't make the pitcher work.
Curious how teams like Cincy will be able to compete long term though. Yes, there is always the Tampa Bay example, but when I heard the Dodgers just signed an 8 BILLION dollar TV deal over 25 years with their local sports network (Local TV revenue is unshared) it feels like teams like the Dodgers, Angels, Yankees, etc will soon be able to shell out contracts like they are paying with Monopoly money.
