I've never seen that movie, but Bronson and Coburn are two of the biggest hardasses of all time, particularly Coburn. Fuck, I love that guy. I'm going to have to see that movie.

Yeah, Coburn is cool, but not much of a badass here.

Beowulf - 1999 version with Christopher Lambert and Rhona Mitra -
Now this is what I call a good bad movie. Lambert The Gray, sexy Rhona, electronic-techno-trance( or something )- industrial crap soundtrack, steampunk and martial arts, all loosely based on Beowulf, the epic.
I found it uploaded on YT, go and see it. :dio:

The criticisms seem to be pretty consistent in that it's starts off slow and 48fps is somewhat of an eyesore. I'm still very much looking forward to it though I don't think anyone should expect it to be as good as LOTR.

The trailer looks fucking amazing.

Peter Jackson hasn't made a bad movie in his career, even if some are better than others. There's no way it will be awful, if you ask me. It will be decent at worst.

The 48fps thing seems to divide people. I bet it's like when the new 3D came out with Avatar. Some people, like me, fucking loved it, and some people could not stand it at all.

I can't watch 3D movies it fucks up my eyes and gives me migraine headaches every single time (just quickly yes I'm vision impaired, significantly so, I see straight ahead but nothing up down left or right, and nothing in the dark just in case some of you didn't know exactly how my eyes work) I would think though if used to enhance a movie as opposed to just because the tech is available then it would be a good thing

It was fantastic, I literally had no complaints other than that it was a little overlong. It has the spirit of a classic adventure epic while still maintaining the feel of the LotR trilogy. Ignore the reviews and go see it, the 66% on Rotten Tomatoes baffles me. (saw it in 24 fps btw)

It is. One of the best done black comedies I've seen.

Poor Jerry Lundegaard, guy can't win.
That scene when Shep bursts in on Buscemi "banging that broad" is golden.

Fargo is the best.

Gremlins gave me a ton of nightmares when I saw it as a kid.

Was talking about this with my mom yesterday. Gremlins never bothered me growing up and I was thinking maybe it had to do with having seen the sequel first. The sequel is a little more campy and was humorous more than scary. Then seeing the original kinda defused it's ability to scare? Maybe. It's officially my favorite Christmas movie.
