Feeling quite good. Have had lots of ups and downs in the last 10 days but coming to a balanced state of mind it appears which I'm quite pleased about.

Edit: Where the hell is everyone?

It has been! I haven't seen Emperor for quite some time now. As for others it seems they have busy lives or just not really miss this place very much as much as others do.

Went home for Thanksgiving break. Argued with my sister. Ate too much food. Got drunk with my friends. Multiple times. Went on a date. Had car sex. Unsure whether she would want to do a relationship sort of thing given how far away I am, but in two weeks I head back to Ohio for five weeks so hope to hang out a lot with her.

Good shit, dude. Car sex is good if the car is actually big enough and hopefully she would want to hang more with you :)

Are you crazy, Nima? Car sex is the worst!

It should be reserved only for situations where the sex cannot wait and you don't have anywhere else to go.

Yeah I know... That's the reason I said if the car is big enough like a van maybe lol. But I think the situation you have just described applies to Trapt's case but I might be wrong.

Aaron woke up this morning at 4am crying. Me and Jess got up, gave him juice and toast, then put him back to bed because he was still tired. Unfortunately the damage was done for us so now I am at work and tired as hell. What an asshole. :lame:

Car sex is the worst. Only my second time having it. The first time two years ago, I just opened the car door and had my legs out the door. Fucking two days ago, it was so cold. She lives with her parents until January 1 and I don't live in town anymore so chatting in the car transitioned into making out into the car which becomes her asking if I want to have car sex. And I couldn't say no to that. My knee is still bruised from being on my back seat's floor the whole time. Plus I wasn't super hot and bothered because all the skin and softness and her amazing boobs were in clothing. Car sex isn't good sex, but it's fun insofar as it's an adventure.

@Solar: I want kids then I read things like that. Rough morning. Your boy is old enough for toast?

Yeah, is about 14 months now with lots of teeth. Dont get me wrong, the upside to kids is amazing, but on mornings like this when they are teething its very hard to remember that.

It's kinda weird being on the forums and like how time passes and you know how people are going through life things without really knowing the person. I'm sure you guys know what I'm saying. Like Adam and Ness kinda disappeared after kids, but the fact that I know their kids are probably coming up on two or three is crazy.

I have finally decided that I will most definitely be coming out of a psychology major into my first and prime love: Philosophy. I will be a transfer student who has studied for three years and will most probably have to do about a year and half and/or up to two years of more studying to get a degree in philosophy. I had a bit of set back in my readings due to things which you are already aware of but since those things are in the past now I am up and running deep into the ever oblivious wonder.

Awesome news, man. You gotta end up doing what you like the best, doesn't matter how long it takes. You'll be much better off for it.

Bar is right. Do what you love. Just know that philosophy might be a crap shoot. As someone who has a degree in it. If philosophy in itself is what you love, I'm sure you can find something to do with it. I loved the pedagogical elements of it and that is kinda why I left it.

I have absolutely no liking to psychology let alone a love for it. Yeah, I thought about teaching but that's a bit down the road so I don't want to have any preconceived notions. I'll just take it by the year and see where I am a year or two years down the road from now.

I'll give you the generic diatribe, but it might be necessary (but seriously, professors of mine at the graduate level consistently tried to talk their own students out of staying in philosophy). Philosophy is an amazing subject, but it is an awful discipline insofar as what you love about it might be sucked out of it by the time you get to do anything with it. That being said, it provides a solid foundation to basically go into any kind of work insofar as you learn to think. Any graduate program would be willing to accept you, and career tracts of law or med school would be also willing to take you on. It has its downsides, but also its advantage. I just want to give you the talk before you go down the rabbit hole.

Hmm. My experiences were jaded, I guess. I wanted to do philosophy that wasn't philosophy proper and so it was always a hassle when I wasn't simply being dismissed.

I just downed a 9% beer and that totally killed my motivation to do schoolwork. I need to read some random articles on metal, write a proposal for a final paper and then polish up my abstract on Panopticon to send it out to some conferences. Instead, I'm going to eat some salsa and chips, sew the whole in my jeans up, and watch some Justified instead.
