Hahaha indeed, my dad always blame weed first for every bad thing that happens in my life. Metal is the second thing :lol:

Evan, CHILL, buddy! I wasn't implying anything by what I said. It was merely an opinion of neutral implications. I still smoke once in a while because I like doing it once in a while and not as much as I did. YOU ARE perceiving it to be that I am acting superior which in truth I had no intention and have no intention of doing that. Some of my best friends are pot smokers and I have a great relationship with them. Get a grip, man.

In any case, I have no further explanation because I do not feel in any way that I should apologize for something that in fact did not occur in the first place. Smoke until your breathing becomes an issue for all I care, really.

Their 2011 effort sounds better to me however, more uptempo. Exactly the kind of stoner/doom I like.

Ihavent heard dead roots stirring yet. I need to check that out on YouTube. Conan has a really decent ep too called Horseback battle hammer. Both really good bands. If you like stoner you really need to check out the gates of slumber. Check out songs off of their album the wretch. Really good stuff.

I totally get a Jim Morrison vibe from the singer on certain songs. You notice that at all. The first track off of the wretch especially.

I listened to The Wretch last night, some serious Saint Vitus worship. And that is awesome.

Also listened to Royal Thunder and Jess and the Ancient Ones. Both awesome stuff. Will need more listens for it all to sink in, but I'm liking what I heard so far.

I know it's not really close to what you're looking for but, when you're really high, give a spin to Ancestors' in Dreams and Time, it's great (my doom/stoner/sludge related album of the year).

Awesome!!! Glad to hear ya dig em Wally. Keep me spinning! I promise they will sink in nicely. Might want to focus on one though. If ya liked royal thunder go that route. Once it sinks in there is a huge payoff. Focus on the songs I listed for that album this way it's not song overload. They are the best ones anyway. Not that the others are bad but the ones I listed are best.
