The New Darkthrone can fuckoff.

Awful band that should've died a long time ago.

hearing rumours of new Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Iron Maiden and Orphaned Land albums for next year (accidentally posted a bit about this in the 2012 thread)

only ones with anything significant to them are Megadeth and Orphanded Land both of which have mentioned writing new material

in the case of Megadeth Chris Broderick has refered to supposed new riffs as "vicious"

I also know Nevertanezra plan to either release a split or second full lenght by the end of 2013 to follow up on their late 2011 debut, quite excited to hear it as I quite enjoyed said debut

The new Orphaned Land is pretty interesting. As for Megadeth, to be honest I dont remember a thing about there last one (13) so we will see I suppose.

last Megadeth was pretty weak, especially when compared to Endgame which was the band's best work in quite some time, it'll be interesting to see if Orphaned Land's sound changes much with the new guitar player but they haven't disappointed me yet so yeah looking forward to that one, not looking forward to a new Iron Maiden in fact I probably won't even bother buying it, since Bruce came back the band has been putting out mediocre at best albums with the exception of A Matter Of Life And Death, new Metallica well we know what to expect and new Slayer will be more hardcore then metal

must be my ears but Slayer haven't sounded metal to me for their last few albums, more hardcore punkish, actually I'm not the only person who seems to have this opinion there are a couple from my other forum who agree

The completionist in me will jump on the new Maiden when it comes out, but I agree that there isnt much to be excited about. While I think the post-return material has been mostly good (some great tracks and some filler on every album), they have fallen into a routine that has really played itself out. IMO either release an album that breaks the mold and lives up to the expectations, or call it a career for recording new material and simply keep on touring on your classic material (which is what the majority of people really want anyways).

Also curious about the new Keldian album that is supposedly getting released. Plenty of reason to be excited for that!

I'm really interested in the possibility of a new release by Nevertanezra, seems likely to be a full length more likely then not, fhey may not be the most original band ever but they're pretty good at what they do

I'm hoping Priest will have a new one in 2013 as well as Sanctuary.

Sanctuary-The Year the sun died is the album title choice, due sometime next year

Here is a sample live:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULv1UxYy ... re=related

Sanctuary-The world is wired

More or less like This godless endeavor era Nevermore which I'm fine with, as long as the music is aggressive and not the groove/ballad buttrock that made the last Nevermore suck dick- I'm fine with it.

Warrel can't hit those rediculous notes from Refuge Denied anymore so I guess expecting a more modern and heavy version of that album is too much to expect?

He hits them decent enough on live clips of Battle Angel, I'm not expecting Halford in his prime here.

I didn't think Angel was that bad. But yeah Nostradamus did kind of suck.

actually in this case you appear to be in the 87% however as you are agreeing with them it by default means the majority must be incorrect
