Mate, that's got everything to do with it. Try it sober, trust me. It took me a couple of years of smoking weed every day before I could handle having a set of pints and then a smoke without puking.

What's a "bowl"?

The bowl in my pipe. Or the bowl from a bong. Thats what we call it. I don't know if it's a north American thing, or a my house thing, but a bowl is what you put the dope in. So, I packed the bowl of my pipe and am now smoking from the bowl in my pipe.

Got it. I thought a bowl was like half a kilo. I think I was picturing a bigger bowl, like a kitchen bowl

I use to do that when I have a hangover. If I awake and feel like shit, drink a glass of water, smoke a bowl or two and then go to sleep again. Repeat until I feel great.

Your totally right man. I think I posted before about my cousin coming over and bringing some bud for me te day I got off parole. Well I still have it and haven't touched it yet. Point is, if I do smoke at home and play video games or something I'll probably get right back into it.

It is a North American thing (although I knew about it from stoner movies). In Australia we call it a cone. I used to be a 50 cone a day bong head!

I know in a good drinking session with good company we'll get through a two litre bottle of bourbon or scotch and two two litre bottles of coke (we go half and half because we drink not to get drunk but to have a bit of fun) and that doesn't seem like a lot to me but we only get together every few months and in between I may have a beer or two every once in a while but spend most of my time sober, other night being exceptional circumstances really wanting to celebrate some good news after a week of the bad

Yeah, mate, it's a shitload. I don't ever regret smoking weed because it's given me some of the most fun and hilarious times of my life. But being honest, if I had my time again, I probably wouldn't have done it for 50 cones a day for 10 years! I'm pretty sure I melted more than a few IQ points out of my brain.

Ive never understood drinking to not get drunk. When I drink I drink to black the fuck out. It might not always happen or work out that way but my intention is always there.

The whole drinking cause I like the taste argument holds absolutely no water with me. I drink to to get fucking wasted and have a good time not because I like the taste.

I personally agree with you. But I do understand if people drink for the taste. I'm not personally much for wine, but my dad loves it so I grew up hearing about and I do understand.

Still, I personally drink to black the fuck out as well. And maybe get a burger in first, hehe.

Wine and beer I get. But people say they drink whiskey cause they like the taste or scotch cause they like the taste just doesn't make sense.

DI, yes I can dig taking the edge off. But your drinking with the purpose of taking the edge off. That equals getting a lil bit drunk.

I don't even know what I'm talking about . I've worked 40 of the last 48 hours. I'm exhausted and I need sleep. I'm cranky and delirious .

I worked my normal job yesterday for 12 hours. We do construction / painting. Then we had a catering party. I cooked thanksgiving dinner for two families last night. Then I had to go back to work this morning with 2 hours sleep. I just got home and out the shower. I'm in bed and I am about to go to sleep.

Holy shit, dude! That's rough. Yeah get some rest. You definitely need it. Of course you're getting drunk but not necessarily shit-faced. And it's wicked that you can cook!

My dad and uncle had restraunts their whole lives and most of mine. I've been working in kitchens since I was about 12. The construction work I did of and on from about 14 on. My dad ended up losing all the businesses about 4 years ago. Now we do construction and painting.

But yeah, I can cook my ass off dude.

My family is brutal when it comes to work. They always have been. My grandfather pulled my father and uncle out of school to work when they were 13. Neither ever went to high school. My dad suffered for it. He is by no means a dumb man but he is very insecure about certain things cause he can't read to good. It's a shame really. My great grandfather lied to the DMV in Philly so my dad could drive when he was 14. So he could drive the trucks for delivaries.
