6/10 sounded like it could have been good and I'll bet the quality is better on the album but in that clip it was tough to really pick anything out bar the vocals

Brilliant, just brilliant! Arcturus is up there for me with the likes of Emperor and Windir. 9/10.

Song begins with a decent riff but like with most modern heavy metal bands, the production adds a dry tone to the guitars and couple that with the drums the snare tone is annoyingly plain along with the vocals. I think Blaze has a decent voice its a shame he gets written off so easily, but the production makes him sound a lot like Matt Barlow from Iced Earth at times. The riffs themselves are simply structured to go v. c. v type shit, not a bad song but not really my type of metal.

Agent Steel - Children Of The Sun

Good stuff. Always intend to listen to more AS, never manage it. Compelling intersection of thrash with Candlemass vocals (Candlemass are better in both riffage and vocals) but AS make a great racket nonetheless. 9/10

I adore Candlemass, but you're a tool for comparing the two. In fact, you could not have compared two incredibly different bands. You might want to stick to listening to Blowpeth.

Vocal-wise, dipshit, no-one was saying they were alike otherwise. Might want to stick to homoerotic hardcore and NYDM?

Hardcore and NYDM aren't trying to be anything other than the hyperaggressive macho bullshit it is. And even vocalwise Cyriis was way more powerful than Lanquist ever was, obviously not Marcollin but that would be too easy of a comparison now wouldn't it? Not that you listen to Candlemass that much anyway.

Such an underrated band even if they're one of the oldest viking metal bands around.
