My initial thoughts are right bands, but wrong songs. And the order of tracks is rather worthless. Some way of collectively rewriting and debating tracks would be super cool. Massive quoting and editing thread! There are some solid picks though.

Devin Townsend was going to be on there, but it got beat out by Toxicity. Make perfect sense!

Eastern European Black Metal doesn't exist (or DsO or WIITR), as it should be in these shitty lists. But Eastern Black Metal does exist!!! Look at Sigh! Hipster status confirmed for Sigh worshippers. :D

I appreciate Trapt's praise of the list, but #1 isn't a metal band, and #5 is just embarrassing.

This list is pure shite. Slipknot, System of a Down, Between the Buried and Me in top ten is ridiculous!

And Lateralus #1?????!! I like Tool, but :lame:

10. Nevermore
11. Therion
12. Ayreon
13. Vintersorg

I rest my case.

edit: and there are many more, you can replace most Power Metal ones with what you like. Natural inclination here.

These lists are always sort of fascinating at meshing/clashing our expectations with the reality of a more generalized publication.
