Love it and I've more or less just enjoying a lot of Helloween's material.

You've taken a liking to some Power metal lately, what's happening to you?

Anyway, if you like Master of the Rings, you should check out The Time of the Oath, which is IMO slightly better. The s/t track especially is excellent (my fave version is the lyricless karaoke version, but that's just me).

Its been like that for at least a year and a half now, when I worked at Walmart I got a friend of mine who I've known since high school a job there and all we talked about was metal at work. I exchanged him a bunch of quality black/death and he showed me some of the better bands in USPM and the German Heavy metal scene. Since then I just go over to his place and we just look up demos and full lengths of long forgotten heavy metal/power bands and just see if they're any good.

Some of my favorite albums in recent times have actually been discovered that way. If it weren't for him I'd probably be more selective of the bands I listen to in the style, and wouldn'tve even bothered checking out stuff like Crimson Glory, Warlord, and even Virgin Steele. I think USPM in general is much better than European power metal without exception, apart from the obvious mentions of Early Helloween, Blind Guardian, Grave Digger, and practically all of the German scene and the vastly underrated Italian scene.
