The Depeche Mode cover is fucking gay. Slower than the original and with none of its sensuous qualities. Also, lol at 3:18, they wanted to do an epic closure to the song but diverted from the original lyrics so the "I won't say it again" no longer makes sense.

The A-ha cover (Take On Me) made me laugh.

The Kylie Minogue one (I Should Be So Lucky) as well. Although that one is actually a nice touch. A hilariously twisted song it's become :)

edit: and that's my favorite of the album, sorry Chris :)

This whole thing is ridiculous. The whole idea of doing a one off cover to close out the album is that it's done specifically for a band's style. This band is all covers, so how does that work?

There's been some great pop songs covered by great metal bands, but come on guys, one at a time please, or if you've put out ten albums or so and want to have fun like Axel Rudi Pell or Rush then you have the luxury of having a signature sound to give the songs context.

Sorry, that was mean and hypocritical. :( I mean these guys have paid their dues and all, so it's cool, but I'm not interested.

I've never understood the interest in this project.

Neither do I. The world is a mysterious place.
