You're right though.

edit: Mmm although the s/t sounds 'blacker' than Tara, so I'm not sure about your assertion, knowing Dev's tastes. Besides, Tara sounds rawer and dirtier. But who cares, both are great.

Yep, Portrait was Thomas's. As for Absu: an absolutely phenomenal band all around. An all-time favourite.

Absu is very cool. Will take a bit for them to fully "sink in", but I definitely like what I heard. Inquisition did nothing for me.

I've heard both before, but only a few songs here and there. I ended up getting busy and never made it past Steve's first post. When I get home tonight I'll continue on with the list and let you know my true thoughts on both bands...

Yeah you told me about the Razor of Occam guys before. Really did nothing for me, but I'll try again if I can dig the other two.
