Holy shit. That was the secret. After less than 24 hours the tonal imbalance is completely gone. Not WAY too heavy on overtones like before...

And I'm so sorry Edge, I mistakenly associated your avatar with DevWal. I don't know if you are being sarcastic.

No matter what if you suck, you get made fun of and if you are too good people get nasty anyway. I go to both extremes all the time, so no one likes me :)

Look, in all fairness, the difference is Dev never claimed he could sing at all, let alone well.

(But for what it's worth I think addy has a good voice)

Classes started today. I'm taking three online and one in an actual classroom but my favorite that I signed up for is a music class: The History of Rock n' Roll. I wonder if I'll do well in that one?

It all makes sense now: This one paragraph explained everything I had ever done wrong and 48 hours later I'm starting to actually make good demos. :)

Maybe I should read the other four pages :P

Quote:
Formant frequencies are determined largely by the shape of the vocal tract (the cavity where the sound that is produced at the sound source – the larynx – is filtered), which is able to produce a highly variable structure of overtones. For instance, opening the jaw, which constricts the vocal tract toward the glottal end and expands it toward the lip end, is the deciding factor for the first formant. This formant frequency rises as the jaw is opens wider. The second formant is most sensitive to the shape of the body of the tongue, and the third formant is most sensitive to the tip of the tongue. Therefore, as the tongue shape changes to produce a different vowel, the formant frequencies will also change.

How many times have you made this very exact same post? Some issue you are having has been corrected by an article you read and now, finally, stardom awaits you.

hahaha. That's pretty much what happens!

That's my brain telling me it wants me to work on a specific part of the singing for a while.

It's simple. I used to think I had control over the actual movement of things I can not move, but airflow can!

Putting my foot down - Adveser, please make a Helheim thread for your singing stuff and keep it there.

There should be an archive with every single post made by Adveser, that'd be awesome.

You can just click on his profile and see all the posts he's made, y'know. Not sure why you'd want to, though...

I have resized my profile pic and still it shows the same old big pic. What am I doing it wrong? Does it take a few minutes to make the change?
