Yes.

I've always had a thing for redheads. So I bagged the first one that would talk to me and I haven't let go for 6 years (in December)!

That's the problem with me. It seems chicks aren't interested in me...

Ok, first of all, I've seen the Faces thread, and you are easily the sexiest man on here.

And anyway, I'm sure it's not true. You're probably just too shy to talk to them, am I right? That was me as well (my partner is pretty much the only girl i have ever spoken to in that way, hehe).

This is probably terrible advice, (but hey, thats what i do!) but don't be afraid of your friend alcohol. You need to have a couple of drinks just to grease yourself up and get up that liquid confidence, and make sure you don't overdo it because once you're slurring and stinky, its no longer attractive.

I never would have talked to my partner if I was sober on the night I met her, so I owe alcohol a LOT.

Well, first of all, cheers for the compliment. Second, I have tried alcohol in the past with weed. And it has worked wonders. I mean just a bit of wine, and it takes the edge of and you are presented with a world of opportunities. The fact of the matter is that I have aged. I'm 27. Those days of randomly going up to a chick and asking her out and succeeding or getting laid the same night you meet a chick without getting her drunk is over. I don't feel the thirst in hunting for girls anymore. Now I look for a true companionship that can have great potential for a long and lasting relationship but does include having children. Having sex in the park, or having sex in the theater, or sex in a ride is all over. I don't feel the need to be crazy anymore. I've felt like this for the last few years. I've had a lot of fun so I don't feel I've missed out on anything. Now, it seems I am too mature or something for the girls in my age range!

Dude, I was never that kind of guy (part of me wishes I was, but I wasn't!) I can certainly say I've never had any sort of sex in public....not really my thing.

And obviously, after almost 6 years, I can say the relationship I have is the sort of thing you want. But it has to start somewhere!
After I got the courage to talk to her, we didn't sleep together that first night. She ended up coming to a party at my friend's place and we talked all night. We didn't end up sleeping together for a couple of weeks.

We started talking about Yes, the band, and realised we had a lot in common and it just went from there. As long as you have the courage to start talking, eventually you will see that you find a girl with common interests.

Yeah, those examples were merely to convey that intoxication has worked in the past for me. I've had girlfriends in the past which they did not want to have sex until we got to know each better. And so we did. So I know the sacred and the states of control and mastery over oneself. Yeah, the thing is, I must talk to girls more in my school. I'm more than positive that I will find common interest with a girl that I'm genuinely interested in. We will have to see how this year turns out to be. The fact of the matter is, I'm usually way too much occupied with either books for my courses or books for my own personal studies. With the latter being more... and that's not a problem but something I need to work on so I can actually put energy on something else... like meeting a girl!

Ha! Morons.

And if they did exist, they'd disappoint us anyway.

Hah, solipsism! Look that one up, Wally.

I have precisely 23 days to spend hanging around the house. Occupying myself with books and music. I think it'll be quite great. I'll be getting my last paycheque tomorrow. And after that will be going to a downtown location at a record shop which has a rather decent collection of vinyls and CDs. I will pick a couple of vinyls because their CDs are ridiculously overpriced. I mean if I find something irresistibly mind-blowing on CD then price won't matter. But I'll be going in the store with a couple of vinyl purchases in mind.

It's been a very busy summer. I mean with work. That's all of I've done besides taking a vacation. I could've done more but I never really do, anyway. Altogether, I would say I'm quite satisfied with the summer I've had and am quite rejuvenated to get back to a year left of school (and some months).

Things are looking up after a depressing 3 weeks of shit singing. I read an article and it basically said after I decoded it that I was not paying enough attention to my tongue. Things make a lot more sense now.

I thought you guys were in college you learned public speech and communication, which basically defines decoding as receiving information and applying it to your own context. Dumbasses.

Whole thing smacks of effort at this point, you know? You need a new schtick.

Most, normal people, educated or otherwise, simply refer to it as "reading". Stop trying so hard.

Oh, and the word you were actually looking for, as applied to what you were referring to is "translate", not decode.

Basically I was mistaking my tongue for:

Larynx
Pharynx(es)
Soft Palette

Now All I gotta do is aim the air under my tongue and change it's shape and it's all good. Worrying about anything else was pretty stupid and unproductive. No wonder I was singing an octave too high when I was aiming above my tongue. I don't even know how the fuck you can sing with a completely relaxed tongue and forcing the air hard into your throat with the diaphragm. Good practice regiment to build my unbelievable 3-day stamina but worthless as singing technique.

I mean how does using your tongue become the last thing you learn? My tongue is so large that it's position could have been anywhere and it certainly explains hitting four notes at once.

:sigh: am I gonna have to pull my textbook out and cite it? My professor was one of the best in the business and decoded Bill Clinton's body language on Oprah, so I'm sure he is not an idiot who is mistaken.
