Louie is so fucking funny. It always sneaks up on me, watching quietly and by the end of the episode I'm losing it.

Hate being a dick - especially a late one - but it's Shae.

Are The Pillars of the Earth worth seeing, anyone? Or, the book, reading?

liked the book but maybe the series is better. a lot of the architectural shit went over my head in written form, maybe the series or whatever does a better job.

Read them. It's an epic where you get to follow several people throughout their entire lives. I don't think you can get the same emotional bond with characters in a miniseries.

Anybody ever watch Party Down?

Only lasted 2 seasons and seem to be a kickstarter show for most of the actors involved, but it is still funny. Worth a watch for people wanting a cheap laugh.

It's not gut busting hilarity, but when it's funny it's funny. Roman and Kyle are the best characters. The show kinda died when Jane Lynch left for Glee...

Finally watching an entire episode of Whitest Kids U Know. "New Daddy" is awesome and the John Wilkes Booth skit was pretty hilarious too. Kinda hit or miss but it has me laughing pretty hard.

Just started watching that again after a gap. Terrific show, well behind but enjoying every bit of it.

It has slow moments, but overall it's pretty spectacular.

Yeah, I'm only on Season 3 right now. It is very good overall but there do seem to be a couple episodes where basically nothing happens.

So I've come to realize that Community is a funny show. 10 episodes in and there's no looking back. Chevy Chase is the best character by far.

Is it actually good all these years later? I just can't imagine the cheese factor of it holding up after all this time like say Buffy has, which I have just started up again.

Watched the pilot of Hell on Wheels. I heard it starts slow and gets better, but this wasn't bad. The dialogue was a little too high school textbook for me, but it shows promise. I doubt it will fill the Deadwood vacuum in my heart but it's a start.
