The only thing wrong with it is Eddie's face, the rest is fine. At least its handrawn again (or at least creates the illusion of being handrawn).

5. (To be honest the above four are my only favorites for the year so far, however i KNOW this next album will be one of my favorites just due to the fact of who is making this album, so it's going in automatically, even if it's not out yet.)
Iron Maiden - Death on the Road

Just what the world needs. Another Iron Maiden live album.

Agreed....Maiden sure are churning out the live albums pretty quickly at the moment. How many times can you listen to a song played live...which is on every single live album they have done before you get sick of it?
I'm a huge Maiden fan, but you dont need that many live albums, and its just a regurgatation of previous albums....just with some DOD songs put in (apart from the dvd).
Looking at the set list, its not that strong to begin with. There are alot of fantastic songs missing from this list, which Maiden rarely play live or when they do, the album is a bootleg.....

X&Y ain't bad, but Coldplay is a very overrated band. Although their last album was very enjoyable, X&Y is indeed quite a let down

For some reason Coldplay's X&Y hits the spot for me, it's actually their most accomplished album in my opinion. It's most probably due to the fact that their music is more guitar oriented and that their music sounds extremely melloncolic and haunting at moments. The atmosphere that emanates from the songs is just too great to ignore especially songs such as Hardest Part, White Shadows, Square One, Speed of Sound and Talk. Technically the music isn't complicated or sophisticated but it's well composed which makes it more than just enjoyable.

As for Coldplay being overated or not I wouldn't care less, I don`t follow trends and I don't listen to the radio. If I like the music I'll keep on buying. Tastes are subjective so to some people they may be overated but to others they aren't, it all depends on the listener.

Coldplay are awful - aside from the dreary music, Chris Martin can't sing and he's a total cunt.

1) Between the Buried and Me- Alaska
2) Opeth- Ghost Reveries
3) Dark Tranquillity- Character
4) Nile- Annihilation of the Wicked
5) Cephalic Carnage- Anomalies

First year I've seen so far where a band that I didn't care for released what I consider to be the best album thus far. BTBAM's new album just destroys a lot of the weakness I saw in them (emo parts, poor transitions between the seemingly random riffs, etc.).

I'll revamp my list because new CDs keep coming out and blowing me away..

1) Reverend Bizarre - Crush the Insects
2) Fantomas - Suspended Animation
3) Make a Change.. Kill Yourself - selftitled
4) Candlemass - selftitled
5) Meshuggah - Catch Thirtythree

edit: messed it up. Blood Inside would be sixth, Frances the Mute would be seventh Anomalies would be eighth..

I don't have the new Sentenced yet though, so my list could easily change.

Can't say that I've liked any new album since the last Lost Horizon album.
