Since it's Baseball Season, does anybody here want to discuss, oh I don't know, The Detroit Tigers? :D

Of course, any other time would be fine too.

Sure, I love baseball, but I'll get bashed for the teams I follow, so I won't divulge that info for now.

I really want to get out and see a game again. The last time I did was 2006 when I went to see the Phillies in St Louis. It was the last season of old Busch Stadium. Good times, being out in the sun, knocking back a few beers, doesn't get much better than that.

Yankees!

As a New Yorker, I have to pay lip service to them. But I don't follow baseball. At all.

I'm not much of a baseball fan (but I am surrounded by them) but the Jays are in 1st! Who in their right minds would of saw that coming? I've already been to a few games this season, got totally smashed to, and I plan on attending some more. Hopefully they keep winning and I can pretend to care about them!

I enjoy watching cricket though cannot comment on whether it is better than baseball as I haven't watched it and dunno anything about that game. Currently watching IPL and loving it. :)

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it won't last. With the division they're in (Yankees, Red Sox, Rays), they're gonna have tough sledding ahead. They really just don't have the pitching to hang with those three, in my opinion.

There's always a few teams that come from out of nowhere and start off hot. This year its the Jays, Marlins, and Mariners. With as long as the season is in the MLB though, it always evens out. None of those teams will be in first place in their division when the season is over.

And a massive  to the cricket comment. Is it possible for us to talk about a predominantly North American sport (NFL, MLB, etc) without a European invading the thread with a smartass comment? It really gets old. If you want to talk about cricket, make your own thread FFS!

Pshh. They're at .500 right now, a better start than the Rays. They have started slow each of the last few years, only missing the playoffs once. Mark my words, they will be in contention at the end of the year, they just have too much talent.

The Yanks, Sawks, and Rays will finish 1-2-3 in the AL East, in some order. I'd bet money on it.

I know it wont last, but I can be happy about it now. They haven't really had a good season since they won the world series back to back. So I am sucking as much in as I can now.

Chapman just struck out the side the last two nights against St. Louis. He is beastly.
