I liked Joffreys scene with the two whores, really showed how messed up he really is.

It was horrifying mostly because it was very well done (kudos to the actors, I can't stand Joffrey but I have to admit that the dude playing him fits perfectly). And it was somewhat necessary as Wally points out. I could have done without, though.

Two other scenes were the limb removal on the battlefield (the sound of the saw... ugh), and the torture scene with the rat (even though it's even worse in the book IIRC). I had to put the vid on pause after those three scenes, in order to breathe a little.

I'm too old for this shit. ©

Well, yeah, but it doesn't mean I wanted to watch the perverse enjoyment that he got out of it. I don't remember Braun being in the season finale, he better be fine. He's pretty awesome.

There is no HBO here. I don't feel bad. I'll buy the blurays or something when the show is over anyway.

I can happily say I watch(ed) every Sunday on HBO. I then use HBO On Demand to re-watch, or show somebody else it. Fuck online piracy.

I don't have a television or cable and if I did I couldn't afford HBO anyways. They're not losing any money from me.

Yeah, I did the same, and I have 6 HBO boxsets to my name.

Frankly I'd feel more badly for HBOs plight if they hadn't made so many poor business decisions in the past. They cut the Wire's 5th season from 16 episodes down to 10, sent Rome to the trashbin even as its ratings spiked, prohibited closure to Deadwood, and greenlight the awfully long, awfully boring, and just plan awful split final season of the Sopranos.

They sure make a killing on their $60 a season barebones dvd boxsets though!

I will never forgive them for Deadwood.

Apparently the season finale of Game of Thrones season 1 has been pulled from all media outlets and shipping of the DVD/Blu-Ray orders have been halted because they use a George Bush prop as one of the severed heads besides Ned's.

What!?

SG-1 is epic. Granted, the first two seasons are kind of a drag, but when the major storylines present themselves, the awesomeness doesn't stop.

I hope that it does pick up the pace a bit b/c I wasn't all that impressed with it. The dialogue is the worst. The acting and dialogue is on par with something like SyFy Crocosaurus. Ugh...

You can actually skip almost the entire first season and only watch like s01e18 and onwards. The dialogue doesn't get much better however.

EDIT, I just looked through some episode guides and you might as well just watch the final two episodes of season one and the first episode of season two, then watch the last episode of season two and move on to season three. The show really gains momentum when specific characters and plots are revealed.

Fucking stupid. I saw that on MSNBC and you can barely tell. Whoever figured it out is obnoxious.

Started watching Shameless (both US and UK) and I don't really enjoy the UK version insofar as it's so goofy where the US version gets the goofy bits but actually acts as if they're real people and not absurd caricatures of lower class folk.

Ooh, good stuff. Looking forward to that...

Finished Game of Thrones season 2. Tyrion and Shay are such a cute couple...
