Imagine what Suter is asking now that Wideman gets that contract. Fuck off Flames.

Yeah, 5.25 million a year over 5 years is kinda ridiculous.

I just wanna be rich and fit. But I don't wanna work hard, do sports or go to the gym.

I haven't quite figured out how to solve that equation yet :)

On July 1st, Sidney Crosby will sign a 12 year-$104.4 million contract extension, which evens out to a $8.7 million cap hit per year.

And the salary cap will rise to 70.2 million a season.

Can't he do something about the Greek debt? Please?

edit: Ok I just read about the 8-7 thing (born on Aug. 7, 1987; wears No. 87, earns $8.7 million a year on average). The guy's creepy.

Speaking of new contracts...

Jonathan Quick gets a new deal paying him $5.8M per for the next 10 years starting next summer. What could go wrong, it's not like any other long term contract given to a goalie ever backfired ;)

Seriously though, I don't like it but at least that cap hit is gonna look good for the next couple of seasons. His numbers this past year are just ridiculous, especially in the playoffs.

Hehehe, not as much risk as the DiPietro deal though, and for a better goalie.

So...

Jordan Staal signs 10 years, 60 million in Carolina.

Scott Clemmensom re-signed in Florida.

John Mitchell signs in Colorado.

Matt Carkner also signs in Colorado.

Derek Meech signs in Winnipeg.

Jonas Gustavsson signs in Detroit.

Justin Schultz signs in Edmonton.

Ryan Smyth re-signs in Edmonton.

More to come. And probably some I've missed.

Not looking like the Kings are gonna make any moves, other than re-signing Penner.

Oh well, having an intact Championship team back for the next season isn't all that bad :)
