Good point: always emphasize the Canadian angle.

So have you seen the whole new series? Trapt and I seemed to find a lot of common ground, Wally thinks we are being to hard on it, what do you think?

Not yet no, but soon. I was saving the S2 episodes (720p, nice) to marathon them sometime. Hate having to wait for a whole week :)
I'll launch an episode or two before tonight's game 4.

I own a transportation company and 10-4 is just the "trucker" way of saying ok, as Bruce's link said.

If anybody still cared.

And what's the trucker way of saying "I want to fuck Cersei Lannister so much my prostate is going to explode"?

And don't say 6-9. It's not funny.

Cops say it too, I know because I watched "The Wire"!!!!

I'd make a deal with Cersei: she eats a stack of Belgian Waffles everytime in exchange for my services. She's a beauty, but I found out the reason why she actually had curves last season was she just gave birth.

I see what you mean, but for some reason I never pay any attention to her body (I can't believe I just said that). For me, it's just her face and her voice. She mesmerizes me.

I like the women they cast in general. Theon's sister has this super hot way of being totally average (if that makes sense). Perfect choice to me. I like who they chose for Brienne, although she's supposed to be ugly, not just tall and masculine. Melisandre is annoyingly hot, just as I pictured her. The girl for Dany isn't the best actress in the world but... well you get my point. Hot.

Even Catelyn is a MILF.

Her too, yeah (although she's not in the book IIRC). Not stunningly gorgeous, which makes her even more attractive. I have one more female character I'm eager to see, but I can't remember whether she's in A Clash of Kings or A Storm of Swords so I won't speak of her.

Yep, HBO is generally pretty good about casting unorthodox but beautiful women (Rome for example: it wasn't just Atia for me, but Octavia and Gaia as well).

Definitely agreed on Melisandre, and I'm also fond of the brothel girl Ros. See your point on Cersei, she's just someone with a very watchable face, Catelyn too.

Rob Stark's lady friend is where it's at for me.

Brienne Image

seriously, though, that Oona Chaplin/Robb Stark's ladyfriend is my favourite.

i'm 2 or 3 episodes behind, watching it slowly so i can savour it. really enjoying the show and the story diverging from the books makes it even more interesting. the scenes between Arya and Tywin Lannister are excellent.

Robb Stark's ladyfriend is just ridiculously attractive, wow. Ygritte is also worth mentioning, I don't know what it is with cute red heads but they're the best.

Ygritte is the one I mentioned above, can't wait to see her appearing. I love her character in the books. Haven't seen Robb's yet, I'll get back to you soon with some outrageous comments on her looks.

Yeah thumbs on Robb's ladyfriend too. Easy to forget a few characters when there are 500 or so of them.

Robb's ladyfriend: hot
Ygritte: hawt.

Theon, looking at naked Osha: "I always wondered what you got under there".
Me too, buddy.

Anyhow, 6 episodes in, and this is excellent so far. Even the 99% of the show free of naked women, haha.

Alright, watched the whole thing. I can't say I understand Trapt's and EBD's points on the multiple storyline, and some being useless. To me they all serve a purpose (if the writers want to follow what happens in the book, which is clearly the case even though a lot of tricks were used, and shortcuts were taken. The big picture is about the same).

The only storyline that bored me a little (just as in the book) is the Dany one. The Theon one I thought was... great actually. Short, straight to the point, well executed, well played, and it serves an important purpose
(the sack of Winterfell and why the boys are runaways)
.
And finally, I don't think there were too many storylines. If anything, I honestly thought there were too few, haha!

Bottom line: excellent show (I'd score the 2nd season 9.5/10), the books are IMO five times better though.

Fun fact: episode 9 was written by George R. R. "The Man" Martin himself. Brillant. Too bad it wasn't a double-length episode because the battle for King's Landing in the book is so epic...

And now... A Storm of Swords. Oh. boy.

Episode 9 was truly excellent, makes sense since it was written by "the man" himself.

Agree to disagree disagree with you on the Greyjoys. This probably applies more to the network, but I don't like the points where HBO inserts itself as HBO, in case we forgot, with additional sex and violence. Several parts where the books only implied is in your face in the series: I don't think it was necessary for a series that already had a taboo like Twincest.

And you enjoyed watching Jon Snow argue with the Wildling girl for half an episode? I know I didn't.

This series is very good though, the best from HBO since its golden age back in the early to mid part of the 2000s.

Couldn't agree more on violence. Episode 3 was sick, had a bit of a hard time watching it (the Joffrey scene with the two whores, especially...). The rest was more watchable.
On sex though, I think the dose is about right. More would be too much. Westeros is a sick place after all... The audience has to feel it.

Guilty pleasure, I'm a pussy. The whole Jon Snow part was nowhere as interesting as in the books, granted.

The bedroom rape scene was rather horrifying.
