Life's Too Short is funny. Good stuff.

The Liam Neeson scene is brilliant. Laughed like a fool.

The one in which he wants to switch to comedy? British humour at its finest. :)

The scenes with Helena Bonham Carter and Steve Carrell are also both pretty good.

Game of Thrones is getting borderline absurd in its juggling of storylines.

No kidding. I would have just centered on the War of the Five Kings/King's Landing intrigue. Greyjoys could have been completely cut as well.

The Wall is usually boring and Daenerys is played by a woman that can't act.

Episode 9 was my favorite of the year because it stays in one place the whole time, and that place was King's Landing.

SPOILERS (possibly):

Greyjoys were an unnecessary divergence unless they come up later to be important. And completely agree with you on the Wall and Daenerys. It was a bad move to make Tyrion such an awesome character, especially given how it looks like he will take a less important role next season. He basically stole the show and made decent characters appear awful after that fact. After episode 9, I didn't give a fuck about anything going on in 10. I'm really not this harsh of a judge. I get it that 10 was setting up for the following season and wrapping up loose ends, but it was underwhelming.

Mild spoilers and such:

Greyjoys could have been cut, period. Tyrion is too awesome of a character to lose all importance, so don't worry about that. The weird thing about episode ten was that they didn't set up a few things I thought they would, and did set up a few things I was sure they wouldn't. I think Tyrion's father is very well cast, and I'm happy to see him in power. Book 3 is considered the book where everything happens, so the material is definitely there for the taking.

I do think Stannis' interactions at the Wall will improve that storyline; I just hope the insane amount of stuff going on next series on the 'A' storyline will keep Daenerys' vacant stare scenes to a minimum.

Even though she's a terrible actress, the scene with her dragon killing the warlock was cool. I can't wait to read about it as I'm sure it will be much more epic.

I am really looking forward to season 3. Just because I am doesn't mean I can't find some faults with the show though.

I find faults in most things I do. But they are few and far between in this series IMO.

Well, we know they will have a real chance to shine next year. I hope they do!

Thanks, I assumed Wally made a clever reference I didn't get it, so I just hoped he didn't and refused to look it up.

Yeah, I know. I was just curious about the meaning. I was betting on a Canadian thing myself.

edit: on-topic, Book 3 is the best of the series (imo), you're in for a treat Wally. We all are.

Good point: always emphasize the Canadian angle.

So have you seen the whole new series? Trapt and I seemed to find a lot of common ground, Wally thinks we are being to hard on it, what do you think?
