Game of Thrones is getting borderline absurd in its juggling of storylines.
No kidding. I would have just centered on the War of the Five Kings/King's Landing intrigue. Greyjoys could have been completely cut as well.
The Wall is usually boring and Daenerys is played by a woman that can't act.
Episode 9 was my favorite of the year because it stays in one place the whole time, and that place was King's Landing.
SPOILERS (possibly):
Greyjoys were an unnecessary divergence unless they come up later to be important. And completely agree with you on the Wall and Daenerys. It was a bad move to make Tyrion such an awesome character, especially given how it looks like he will take a less important role next season. He basically stole the show and made decent characters appear awful after that fact. After episode 9, I didn't give a fuck about anything going on in 10. I'm really not this harsh of a judge. I get it that 10 was setting up for the following season and wrapping up loose ends, but it was underwhelming.
Mild spoilers and such:
Greyjoys could have been cut, period. Tyrion is too awesome of a character to lose all importance, so don't worry about that. The weird thing about episode ten was that they didn't set up a few things I thought they would, and did set up a few things I was sure they wouldn't. I think Tyrion's father is very well cast, and I'm happy to see him in power. Book 3 is considered the book where everything happens, so the material is definitely there for the taking.
I do think Stannis' interactions at the Wall will improve that storyline; I just hope the insane amount of stuff going on next series on the 'A' storyline will keep Daenerys' vacant stare scenes to a minimum.
