Knows it's not a 100 but gave it 100 anyway. That's awesome.

This is like Avenged Sevenfold getting album of the year all over again.

I also gauged it against the review of Kill. I genuinely thought Kill deserved its 96 so was forced to go upward. Because at first glance the score out of 100 is what readers see, it put me in a difficult position since I had 4 points to work with and thought this was better than Kill. I thought some of the songs here could outdo Death Walking Terror.

Well, Kill just wasn't a 96. If None So Vile is a 100, no CC album is 4 notches below that. And some of the songs might outdo Death Walking Terror but it would take twelve of them to even close to a 100 which I just don't foresee. I'm going to download this, I guess.

People getting butthurt over people making the site that they have frequented for years look like a joke.

At the end of the day, maybe I'm too anal, but the reviewer should be logically consistent. This album in his book hasn't yet appeared as better than Tomb of the Mutilated or Bleeding so why give it a 100?

Jesus, can we stop saying the phrase, "butthurt"?

Consistency is very good, but enthusiasm is good too. Numbers are just numbers, ultimately.

I like when it's used to act mature and tell people to stop arguing but then they say "butthurt". Right.

Not that scores are particularly important; yet if I was to gage Cannibal Corpse's discography numerically, I'd say they're always producing a solid 80 - 85 album but rarely higher. Kill is possibly the only one I'd rank around the high 80s, but this band is consistently what they are: a solid Death Metal band who rarely push the boundaries.

Ever since they began, I've always found their albums follow the same pattern in my subjective view - listen, enjoy, play numerous times for a few weeks after release, relegate to 'play when I'm in the mood' until time stops. If they're not reinventing the wheel, then my long term mild indifference continues, and I'm thinking that cycle will not change considering where they are in their career.

Definitely not 100 worthy, but it's a decent album for sure! Considerably better than Evisceration Plague, I think.

Even with 100/100 I can't be bothered to check this out. Most boring live show ever. I think Bon Iver would keep me awake longer.

Doesn't allowing a fanboy to post such an obviously "fanboy" review defeat the purpose of this being a review site?

You may as well do away with the number score if you have to preface it with phrases like "yes I am crazy about this band". Why not give all your favorite albums 100 point ratings, just because you feel like it?

Yeah... This may be really great but odd scoring is off-putting. I'll check it out eventually probably. I can't even imagine this being a full album of tracks as awesome as "Death Walking Terror" and that I'd be hard-pressed to give a 100.

Totally agree.

I couldn't even give 100/100 to my favourite albums.

Nothing is perfect.

Fall into a vat of acid

Besides the new Unleashed is better than this. First five songs are good though, then the album kind of flatlines.
