This is the video quizzes thread, here you'll find links to metal musical quizzes made by yours truly, and others (if you find some or if you want to make some, let's share them all here!)

The quizzes in this subforum are Power, Progressive, True, NWOBHM, HM, Doom, Hard Rock, Heavy Rock... and so on oriented. There may be some exceptions, for a reason.

Instructions:
- Don't use accents or funny letters. Which means Motörhead is Motorhead, Týr is Tyr. But Sunn O))) is how it is.
- Don't forget to click the NEXT button when you pass (and when you pass only).

Fuck me, how did I not get #18

I don't listen to the other bands I didn't get though, so not surprising :)

Yeah, I now try to propose a better mix between famous, known and obscure bands. More choruses also, and the graphical hints in the vid. If with all that nobody here gets a 6/12 with Quiz #2, I swear I kill someone. My buddy who beta-tests the vids before they get online got 9, so it's definitely doable!

Quiz#2 was quite a bit easier :)

I got 7 out of 12. I was pretty cocky when I got 5 in a row and then got only 2 in the last 7 lol.

Yeah I thought you guys needed some confidence So you got the first 5 right (kudos for knowing #2, great, great band), and what were the other two you got?

Yeah, I haven't listened those two albums in ages. And Revelations is hard to guess you sneaky ...

I will I'm surprised everyone got #5 so far, is the chick a dead giveaway or what? The only song remaining is #6, which as I thought it would be, the hardest. And yet it is a well-known band...

edit: and OK guys, Quiz #3 is going to be a tad tougher (just a bit, I promise.)
edit #2: and yes Wivian, band #10 should be familiar to you, they're German And awesome.

I think if anything the band on #5 has one of the most instantly recognizable singers and sound images on this quiz.

No. 2 is one of my favorites knew that one from the picture alone. 8 and 9 were the other 2.

I got 1, 4, 5, and 12.

My buddy told me the same: "So, the 3 easy ones were #1, #4 and #5, obviously."
Me: "Err, actually it was #1 and #4 indeed, and #8. #5 was supposed to be a tough one..." Fail I have to be less systematic on pictures.

So far, which quiz was the most fun to play? Do the images add value, or is it the contrary? And what about the number of songs, more, less, fine that way?

For the last band, I had only heard one or two songs by them but I got it purely on recognizing one of the members in the image because he was interviewed in Global Metal.

I knew what band #10 is ( don't count it ) the moment you mentioned nationality and that particular album is now on my "to get" list.
As for the images, they were helpful at #5, I would have never guessed it just from the audio clip. The hint at band #11 was also very helpful.

I think quiz 2 was great. Maybe make it a little bit harder, but not much. It's definitely more fun to to get 8/12 than 4/20 or whatever I got on the first one :)
