(about the song from the video) It's not bad but nothing special either. I can't begin to understand some people enthousiasm about it...

It's not about the song, which is OK, but the people involved.

Song is good, nothing more. The "unisonic" part reminds me of Bloden-Wedd's "Lone Runner," only not as good.

I get the enthusiasm, but considering Deris-era Helloween blows away the Kiske/Kai era and everything they've done outside of Helloween, expectations shouldn't be so ridiculously high.

Excuse me. What? Very strange opinion. You are entitled to it, of course, but my god, how can you think such blasphemy. The two Kiske-era Keepers albums are firmly enshrined in the heavy metal pantheon of never-to-be repeated classic heavy metal events. They are of such monumental quality and value that I will not be able to accept your explanation as anything but whimsical nonesense. Explain yourself.

They are classics, but that doesn't mean they're untouchable. If they came out today, neither would be very impressive. Good albums with a few great songs on each.

I'm not taking anything away from the influence they had in metal, but I don't think they're nearly as good as later albums.

I'm sure you knew thus was coming but i'm going to have to completely disagree. If they came out niw they would be far superior to anything else, including everything Hellween as done to date. Those albums had an energy and spirit that todays acts dnt even come c,ose to.

No way. A couple of great songs, some good songs, a couple shit songs ("Rise and Fall," for instance) and filler tracks.

Keeper 3 blows those two away, quality-wise.

Totally disagree. All Deris-era material is watered down, generic, and tired sounding. When Kai Hansen left the band went to shit.

I think, because those early albums were such defining albums, that you—and many other people—are incapable of accepting that Helloween's classic material may not be as good as the non-classics.

Of course, you very well may like those early albums more; but to suggest that the Deris-era albums are watered down and generic is, in my opinion, absurd. I can't imagine that, if those are watered down and generic, the previous albums are not as well. That sort of thinking just doesn't make sense to me.

I find Deris to be an awful singer and the music to be wholly uninteresting. The drop in quality is too much for me. I always listen to see if maybe there is something interesting again but they are now a part of the indistinguishable mass of boring power metal bands.

Sure, but you cannot like them both equally.
