Shitty Christmas. I'm back from my parents', there's a lot of tension and resentment for various things in my family. I think I'm the only one who likes everyone.

Bah.

That does make for a rough Christmas gathering. My wife and I decided years ago that if we didn't get along with certain members of the family then we were not visiting them during the holidays. This may sound awful but there are entire swaths of my family that I just stopped communicating with altogether. I hope that you have a better day today.

My family is a bit messed up as well, but after a bottle of grouse I was more than jovial. Ran out of tobacco and insisted my cousin quickly drive me to a gas station to buy more. Bless her.

Clarinets are manly as fuck. I played it and my dogs ran and hid in their kennel (0).

Finished my first knitting project yesterday. The scarf isn't perfect, lots of goofs, especially in the first third when I was still learning how to do the basic stitch, but I'm really happy with it. It's warm and looks real great. A nice cream that blends in with my grey coat nicely, and contrasts with my black coat well. Now I need more wool because I'm like an addict and dunno what to do with all these extra hours in the day. Next one's gonna be thinner, slightly more complicated than just garter stitching, and a nice chalky light blue. Ideally I'll be able to find wool that gradiates between white/grey/light blue/navy, but I'm thinking that making my own Stefan Schneider scarf will be harder than just imagining it in my mind's eye.

How do i feel today? Just another rainy day of playing video games and stuffing my face. Got my fingerprints done for my new security guard job that's starting soon though.

I hate my father's side, barring a single cousin and my grandmother. I still have to go and fake it, though, for my grandmother's sake. Once she passes, it's fucking adios to those bastards. Ended up lacing into my uncle for claiming Hollywood is making children immoral. Hate mindless shit spouted by moralists, claiming to have any effect on my upbringing while his one son is a convict and the other has consistently expressed in great detail how he cheats on the mother of his children. Yeah, like I should buy wholeheartedly into what my uncle says about what the problems with children are.

irl, I met an awesome chick. She went to a hardcore show with me. Well, we met at the bar prior to my friend playing and she dug it. We snuck away from the noise after that and continue talking. She stayed at the bar talking to me till after 1am yet had to wake up for work at 4am. That should be a good sign. She is hot and has a rocking bod and beautiful quarter sleeves tattooed on her with some vibrant ass colors. She knew my friend Simone and he's awesome so she must be as well.

Now, the problem is I asked her for dinner, i.e., the second date last night when she had family x-mas business to attend, and now I don't want to ask her for the second night in a row and seem needy.
