It's been 10 years since one of the greatest legends passed away. In remembrance, why not list our fav Death tracks? Mine would be 1,000 Eyes. The lines, "Privacy and intimacy as we know it, will be a memory." seem so true nowadays, what with facebook, twitter and other forms of internet communication making people bare their personal lives. I also love the lead melody in that song.

1,000 Eyes, Crystal Mountain, Perennial Quest, Misanthrope, Overactive Imagination, Trapped in a Corner, The Philosopher, Flattening of Emotions, Spirit Crusher, Voice of the Soul. Could keep going but I think those are the songs I've listened to the most.

It's been that long hasn't it? Man i wish i was listening to Death before it happened so i could see Him live, but of course i was but a wee child back then. But as for Favorite songs(no Order): Together As One, Trapped In A Corner, Leprosy, Pull The Plug, Evil Dead, Scream Bloody Gore, Crystal Mountain, Scavenger of Human Sorrow, Bite The Pain, Spirit Crusher, Voice of The Soul, Painkiller and Killing Spree.

NPR article with ten musicians discussing their fave Death track (including Hoglan, Masdival, Christie, and Baizley): http://www.npr.org/blogs/allsongs/2011/ ... schuldiner

Personal favorite tracks:
The Philosopher (which Baizley seconded, however, came off as if he didn't know much about Death)
Pull the Plug
Nothing is Everything
Lack Of Comprehension
Zero Tolerance
Zombie Ritual
Spiritual Healing

First death metal band I heard. I still remember that day back in 1990 buying the LP and hurrying home to put it on and then listening in awe. Still my favorite album.

RIP Chuck!! :dio: :dio:
