Some obvious wtfs on the list, however, pretty solid overall. Jane Doe, fuck yeah, Dopethrone, Dopesmoker. The Beatles' album is an interesting claim but beyond Helter Skelter, which may be the first metal song ever, I don't really see it. What else should be included to make up for the obvious fuck ups which are Leviathan, Iowa, and Burn My Eyes being included? Yeah, Davidian is so heavy, Guardian.

People get paid for that kind of... ah, articles. I think that's what angers me the most.

Ah, not a one album not originating from the UK or USA, thorough investigation, indeed.

No Cannibal Corpse and no Cryptopsy, but Slipknot and Machine Head on a "heaviest albums" list means it's nothing but bullshit :lame:

At this point I'm disappointed Load didn't make the list.

According to that Guardian dude, yes. White album, Helter Skelter. It's unbelievable, basically anything from 70's Black Sabbath is heavier than this.

edit: oh no, it's in fact Kerrang!

Yeah, fuck Kerrang. The Graun is usually better than this when it comes to commenting on metal, had something on there about cascadian BM the other week.

You guys are being absurd. Three of those would make my personal list. Four are questionable but decent. Three are just fucking stupid. Seventy percent isn't bad for mainstream media, right?

Seventy percent?!
I forgot to include Mastodon as questionable but decent.

Jane Doe is the heaviest album ever and I will fight anyone who fucking disagrees. Dopethrone is the second heaviest album ever and I will fight anyone who fucking disagrees. That album with proper equipment is a fucking religious experience. Dopesmoker is pretty fucking heavy too.

Other mentions:
Pig Destroyer
Anaal Nathrakh
Early High on Fire
Early SYL
Cryptopsy, Once Was Not
Salome, s/t
Jucifer

And what the fuck is 'heavy' anyway? Does it even mean anything? There are oranges and apples in that list.

...

AND THE BEATLES, FFS!?

Fight people? Jesus, it is just a list with a Beatles record and Machine Head recording...

Nothing but Anglo-American music. No Chaosphere, for example. No Behemoth, etc.
