I get to interview Lacuna Coil via phone on Thursday about their upcoming show in Aberdeen for the university newspaper. Anyone have any ideas for good questions? I don't really follow Coil but I'm the only person on our arts section staff with any metal knowledge.

I don't follow Coil myself but ask her what was her vocal training like when she first started to sing.

Where do they see themselves in the metal community, maybe? That style of lady/male goth metal is kinda disappearing, no? They kinda exploded a few years back and have now kinda faded out to some degree. I guess the question is essentially are they content with becoming another Evanescence.

Or what was it like for Cristina to work with Mustaine?

Just got off the phone with Cristina. Very lovely person, but I came off as a bit prickish thanks to that question about the declining popularity of female fronted bands. Anyways, woohoo! I might also get free tickets to the gig and (dare I hope?) the afterparty.
