My point is that, "proper" metal band or not, the quality of the songs and albums is all that matters.

I didn't mind Empire not being metal, the songwriting was stellar.

But this new album is just... barren. There's nothing there. All their albums post Promised Land have been pretty lackluster, but Dedicated to Chaos is one of the worst ones. I don't think anybody expects another metal album from them, but by this point I don't even expect a good album, let alone a great one, from this band. Regardless of the genre.

I can understand why so many people are disappointed, but, for example, around the world is a great of a band, he has to understand they can not convincingly modern power metal of the folk process.

I'd take you seriously if you didn't speak gibberish and weren't a fucking spam bot

Before 'Dedicated To Chaos' I only found one Queensryche album absolutely unlistenable: MindCrime 2. I just can't find anything about that album redeemable. I find DTC not only to be unlistenable but a monument to the erosion of a once brilliant band. What I find most perplexing is that this band has fallen so far with 4/5 of its original members still intact. I just don't understand...

I think when Chris DeGarmo left the band it all went down hill from there, he was the main song writer.
All my favourites songs they made he was mastermind behind it.
he did guest in a song on ther tribe album, notice its the only good song on that album I think.
