Fair enough. Wasn't expecting that though!

You are not alone. I'm not saying it's shit, I just don't get what's good about this album. But yeah, it seems we're a minority here. It really is beyond me, but oh well.

I just got my copy last nigh and I think it's great. It's definitely different, but still heavy and catchy. I've yet to listen to it from beginning to end, but from what I've heard I like it. Fight Em Til You Can't has been stuck in my head all day.

It's the catchiness that really won me. Fantastic songwriting, like they'd been holding back throughout the late 90s and 00s.

I'm starting to wonder if I dl'd a fake or something. When I end my so-called silence therapy I'll give it another try.

Exactly.
This album is nothing new but it's the best songs Anthrax have given us since... Among the Living me thinks.
That and Joey's voice.

Yeah, Joey's voice is definitely the one thing it really has going for it.

As for it being the best that they've given us since Belladonna quit the band....well.

It's like saying Death Magnetic was the best metallica album since Master Of Puppets. Probably true, but faint praise at best.

Dear god, And Justice for All was in a totally different, and better, category from Death Magnetic.

So after a few spins of the new album, I think it's fucking awesome. Not every song is awesome, but it's heavy, catchy, and just a fun listen. Just like an Anthrax album should be. It may not be Ironbound, but it is one of the best new albums by an old thrash band. IMO obviously.

Amazing pile of crap, you should post the link in the "How do you feel" thread to be sure Fridge sees it, that should be of interest to him.

I dunno why I can't get into this along with everyone else. I keep giving it another shot after seeing yet another person praise it, but to me it just sounds like a really generic Heavy Metal album, with some after-the-fact thrashy tendencies. It's not a failure, but it doesn't do anything I can't get elsewhere, done better.

Let's just say if it didn't have Anthrax written across the front, I never even would have given it a second listen.

This. I give up, after 3 listens. I'm not able to enjoy this album, period. My loss :(

I know I am forgetting some, but songs like The Devil You Know, Crawl, The Constant, or Revolution Screams are good but not at the same level as the ones I mentioned earlier.

I forgot about The Giant earlier, which is also killer.

Revolution Screams is too long but, other than that, I have no complains about Worship Music.
