Windir, Einherjar (album: Norwegian Native Art), Negura Bunget (New), klabautamann (album: Merkur), Moonsorrow, Melechesh (newer), comes to mind.

Manegarm, Vintersorg and Asmegin are some other bands I can think of. I also second Windir and Moonsorrow, those two are a must.

Early Borknagar, especially the first three.

Nokturnal Mortum. Especially their latest album is a masterpiece. Goat horns, Lunar Poetry are also amazing. If you didn't check em out because of controversy, do yourself a favor and try them. You won't be disappointed.

Adorned Brood has some really nice songs  Check the album Asgard especially. Good mix of Black/Melodic Death/Folk.

The flute steals the fucking show in this one :dio:

Eluveitie's Spirit is another mention that combines Melodic Death with Folk Metal. Their only good album in my opinion.

I wish the guitarist retake his Forest of Fog project, 1000 times better than Eluveitie's.

I'd suggest Voimasta Ja Kunniasta or Kivenkantaja. The songs are a bit shorter than usual on those two (now they're mostly more than 10 minutes long) so it might be easier to get into those first, yet they're as epic as their longer songs.

I'd suggest Verisaaket. Milan's suggestions are okay, but they've grown into their current style since Verisaaket; the albums before that are less guitar-heavy and contain more keyboard cheese.
