Children of the Damned is only pure awesomeness. Hallowed be Thy Name is two ranks above that.

(I love overstatements.)

I can't believe I see albums like Crystal Logic, Dreaming Neon Black, Deicide, Number Of The Beast or even Hypertrace listed as albums with only one good song. You people are strange

Anyway, my picks:
Operation: Mindcrime 2 - Fear city slide
3 Inches of Blood - Advance and vanquish: Deadly Sinners
Hibria - The Skull Collectors: Tiger Punch
Manowar - Gods of War: Loki God of Fire
BG - A Twist in the Myth: This Will Never End
Paradise Lost - One Second: Say Just Words
Pyogenesis - Twinaleblood: Abstract Life

I for one could tell you the exact same thing about Advance & Vanquish (although you have to stomach the "singing") and Gods of War (there are *two* OK songs in it, not one only). :P

Edit : And here comes another one: Symphorce - Godspeed (Everlasting Time)
Edit #2: They're everywhere! Teräsbetoni - Metallitotuus (Metallisydän)

I can agree with Nevermore's Dreaming Neon Black. I've been going through their discography lately and DNB is the one I've least enjoyed so far. It just becomes one big blur with only a few songs standing out, mainly Beyond Within.

Hmph, lame. What about Death Of Passion, or that massive title track?

Those are great too, especially the title track. Poison God Machine too maybe, but that's about it. It's still in my playlist for next week so hopefully something will click.

Edit: Come to think of it, maybe it's just that I've been listening to too much Nevermore lately. Maybe I've got some Nevermore-fatigue.

Poison Godmachine, I Am the Dog as well.

I realize DNB can be a difficult album to listen to, and a couple of the later tracks were unnecessary, but sometimes that murky, bass heavy production just totally clicks.

This album is definitely a mood album.

Excellent topic.

Iron Maiden- (The number of the beast, Fear of the dark) Hallowed be thy name, Be quick or be dead
Devourment (Butcher the Weak) Babykiller
Gorgoroth-(Antichrist)-Possessed by Satan
Exodus-(Impact is imminent)-title track
Origin-(Antithesis)-Finite
Deicide-(s/t)-Blaspherereion
Hammerfall-(Legacy of Kings)-Legacy of Kings
Skullview-(Kings of the Universe)-Kings of the Universe
Defeated Sanity-(Chapters of Repugnance)-Consumed by repugnance
Midnattsol-(Where twilight dwells)-Lament
Satyricon-(Volcano)-Repined bastard Nation
Profanatica(Disgusting blasphemies against god)-Black cum

So many more these are the only ones I can think of..
Funny, those are two DM albums I usually listen to all the way through.

Never could stomach either of them tbh, Origin's rapidfire formula is boring as hell and Defeated Sanity really dumbed down their performance from Psalms of the Moribund. I also am adding Crystal Logic another boring album, though Necropolis is a good song the rest is a total snoozefest.

I was on the same boat as Milan for a wile, but it's one of my favorite Nevermore albums. It never really "clicked," just kinda grew on me. There are some massive monster awesome Thrash tracks for sure, but then there are a lot of downtempo atmospheric tracks as well, and those take the longest time to get used to, but they're still amazing.

Poison Godmachine and No More Will are 2 of my favorite Nevermore songs, though. :dio:

We are the Void by Dark tranquility. The Song Iridium is so fucking addicting but the rest of the album sounds like shit.

Being a long time DT fan We Are the Void took a long time for me to appreciate. And now I have bought the special edition with two bonus tracks which in my opinion are a great addition to the album. The album needs time to grow on you. That's how it was for me, anyhow.

Since everyone seems to agree that this one takes time then I guess I should give it some. Hopefully it will grow on me too.

Amorphis - Day of Your Beliefs: It's probably the only great song on Far from the Sun, the rest is just really meh. And meh is a word that should never be connected with Amorphis.

i suppose so, it took me a long time for me to like slayer since i was never a big Thrash metal fan when i first started to listen to metal. Don't get me wrong i do like DT's older stuff.
