Aerosmith made a song with Run DMC, that doesn't make them rap-influenced. There's a song of Cypress Hill with Nu-Metal guitars, but that hardly makes them metal-influenced, just saying.

I see more connections between rap and core than rap and metal which makes perfect sense as both genres share many things... Metal goes better with pop. :D

Hardcore like Trapped Under Ice singing about the means streets and the city lights is more like rap than anything metal has ever done.
