Metallideth:

James whines into mic
Lars goes thump thump thump batish
Chris does his diddly diddly thing
Dave does... wait, would there be three guitars?

Well, I wouldn't like it anyway, The Metallica parts might get into the 'Deth parts and ruin all the songs.

Maybe a project between both of them would make both bands suck a little less.

Oh yeah. :D I'm as interested at the reaction as to how good/bad the project would be.

Nah Dave doesn't need to drag Metallica's asses along.

"The lineup that we have right now has achieved more than those guys ever did." ????? That lineup recorded Rust In Peace didn't they?

This would be interesting, but yeah, it's difficult to see them making anything that would live up to the potential if these guys were all still making music like in their heyday's.

What an idiot for saying that the Friedman era has achieved less than the current incarnation of Megadeth...yeah, I understand that you want to feel like you're making your best music right now, but Rust in Peace is untouchable.

Couldn't agree more, Rust in Peace it's the only Megadeth album I really like. It's perfect.
Btw, as an axeman, Friedman > Mustaine, one only have to listen to Cacophony to prove this true.

You only have to listen to his albums like Dragon's Kiss to know he's one of the best. Marty was such a great addition to Megadeth as Rust In Peace showed, there's no need for those comments in the interview when the fans have heard the proof.
